Tripmines couldn't kill before or now. Throwing knife got nerfed for no reason. Bladedancer got smacked. Titans and Warlocks, however, got hit with a pool noodle in comparison.
Edit: the replies are pouring in, thanks!
Edit #2: When I say tripmines don't kill, I mean against any guardian with a decent amount of armor, since 197 will not kill at least some guardians. I went to tripmine for a couple games, then immediately switched back to incendiary, mostly because it doesn't matter what armor you are 205 damage will kill every time
Edit #3: Wow. Incendiaries got ninja nerfed. It's like they're ramming swarm grenade down our throats. Instead of doing 7 damage per tick, now it does 4. 170 + (4*5) is 190, barely enough to kill a low armor guardian.

Im just upset about the damage nerf on the on my knifes and tripmines
-
As a strictly PvE Hunter I couldn't be happier with this update. My GG finally does damage and that's all that matters.
-
Blade dancer did well for me last night. Was running encore/vanish in rumble and it was a blast.
-
Hunter main: I came to grips after a salt fest then relised hunters are now the most balances class in destiny now as far as i can tell. Nothing seems to be too over powered now Only thing im mad about is trip mine It has like a 188 base damage now wont be able to one shot some people for a while now
-
Actually Sir I'm doing awesomely in the crucible as a hunter. The only thing i dislike is that the evades got some changes
-
I miss trip mines. I get more assists than kills with them now. Why the hell would I want to use them as a trap "like they were designed to be used" if I have to sit by them to mop up the injured player after it fails to kill. Dumb.
-
Any REAL hunters left? I main a blade these days, and I could say it got buffed. They made it so that you can't spam it. Good change. They buffed Vanish. Real Bladedancers use Vanish. I'm not mad my favorite class got changed. It was for the best and it makes sense. Same for the other changes. Gunslinger was controversial but we don't see the numbers Bungie sees... so you never know
-
So no one is going to mention a single buff that happened? There's a difference between a nerf and a rebalance. The class was buffed a lot and had tiny nerfs yet all I'm seeing is a bunch of complaints about the ring things
-
Edited by Donates: 6/15/2016 11:45:49 PM@edit2: so every class has to raise their armor because of one nate? That was always stupid. Besides even if you have enough armor you're a piece of cake after you get hit
-
The idea is supposed to make firing a gun something you actually have to do, not throw an instakill grenade and run away.
-
I used to get plenty of kills with trip mines; they were great if you used them smartly. And every time I ever got killed by them it was a good/lucky toss, or it was my fault for not paying attention to the giant flashing laser beam they showed off Now they're pointless garbage. I played one game, had literally less fun than ever in my life, and am pretty much done with crucible for the foreseeable future.
-
I don't care i love it From a positive nightstalker.
-
I'm a hunter main and I think they're really going in the right direction for most things, but I'm adapting to a couple others. The "good" hunter grenades got nerfed, and I think that's a great thing. I wish there was more gun fights, not just pre-throwing grenades when you see red on the radar. Weaker grenades will definitely help that, I believe, and the changes to sunsingers were nice too.
-
Not happy about the injustice to hunters, hammer of sol was op and now is jus stupidly crazy. Why dont you just delete hunters all together!
-
I like some parts of it like the buffs in pve, the changes to nighstalker, the changes to sunbreaker, & the changes to sunsinger. The changes to tripmine, throwing knives, & almost all the changes to blade however, I'm not so happy about.
-
I am a PvP Hunter and I like it.
-
Titans are next for nerf.... That will rub salt deeper than ever.
-
Hunter main here. 140k or so hunter kills in crucible 8 or 9k warlock kills 7k or so titan kills Im not complaining one bit. I didnt ask for the nerfs I didnt want the nerfs. However, i use my primary often. Therefore, i dont rely on grenades and such to get kills. Therefore, im hardly affected
-
"Bladedancer got smacked" = you're a blink scrub that spams your melee when you activate arc blade. Much like the changes to the warlock all Bungie did was limit crutches. God forbid you actually have to be good to excel at something. - day 1 hunter

Edited by Angelis101: 6/15/2016 4:17:34 PMTrip mine nerf was needed as well as the 1 hit kill on low Armor throwing knife. I've been on the receiving end of it from time to time. Also the only difference is now i don't feel like I'm forced to run max Armor on my sunsingers just to avoid tripmines. They're still just as deadly on the right scenarios. But now you just can't throw them and get kills. Kind of like every other gernade in the game. Minus incendiary which has to directly be at your feet to kill you. Edit: hunter had always been the dominant PvP class fir a reason. All this update did was pull them down a bit to balance out with everybody else. I actually enjoy playing more than teams of shade steppers and mixed hunters all day.
-
I don't like them but haven't noticed a difference on bladedancer. Shadestep doesn't bother me. Tripmine nerf was uncalled for it already hardly ever kills. What's the point of a trap grenade that does kill what's in the trap.
-
You'd think the big laser beam would help people spot Tripmines anyway...... and it's not like they have high magnetism when it comes to sticking......
-
Tripmines were a trap grenade and a sticky, they made blade dancers have to conserve their swipes (just like what they did to storm caller) a headshot with burn on low armor targets one shots with throwing knife, hmm.. lets see.. nightstalkers can no longer throw 2 grenades and kill you instantly.. nor can they break their B button to get away from you.. As for the other classes sunsingers completly lost viking funeral, and got a nerf to scorch sheild activation time and the garrison got the same nerf as shadstep.. tbh.. this nerf was nothing but nessicary I applaud bungie on their approach to smokes and viking funeral
-
Not being killed by a super after I tether it will be nice.
-
Trip mine killed me last night That DoP for everybody (in my yo gotti voice) GoldenGun still boss My bitchin' as a hunter has ceased?
-
Bladedancer works fine, it actually got a buff for skilled users who don't require spamming in order to be effective.
