Landscape

The landscape of Mordor is one that a weakling shouldn't traverse. It's rocky mountains, long falls and Hellish inhabitants make it a land that even the best fighters would fear. To the West, caves, and caves and of course, more caves. These caves are home to many of the animals and monsters of Mordor, along with some of the plants. Blue Milk, an extremely valuable mushroom often makes these Western caves its home. Those are up on the mountains and hills, below them, massive Orcish settlements with their Uruk leader. This is a slave camp, often Orcs will torture slaves simply because they can, and no one can stop them... To the East, rolling plains and ruins galore. It would be many slaves' exit, but the Dark Army has built a wall there, one the size of the Black Gate. Hithlas, Mordor's most vile and toxic plant, lives in the East. The Orcs and Uruks call it "Sauron's Gift", often staying away from it. To the South, the heart of the Dark Army awaits, armed and ready. Slaves of all sizes, races and beliefs are forced to work endlessly for their Dark Overlords. The Black Hand, the Tower and the Hammer often reside here, watching over their elite division of the Dark Army. High walls, archers and Caragor watches make this region almost unattackable. In the North, the Black Gate. Rumors of a rebellion against the Orcs use this as their home, their base of operations. Remmenthond is common here, making it an understandable place to reside. Orcish control still has a stranglehold on the area, but it is weaker than the others. The Middle Ground is teeming with tension and Orcs and anger and hatred. Monster, Orcish and Human bodies lay everywhere. Often called "Mordor's Graveyard" the Center of Mordor is a place a necromancer, like the Black Hand, could raise an army. The Climate of Mordor is very rainy, yet warm. Humidity is off the charts. At night, it grows cold and wet, more often than not, raining like Hell after about supper time and won't stop until light breaks the dark sky. In the mountains, it's colder than the rest of Mordor, often raining and snowing all the time. Life is difficult up there, who would want to live in such a bad place?
