Do not go gentle into that good night, old gen.
It's time for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players to put aside their differences, and come together to prevent being obliterated permanently.
Recently, a very convincing and worrying rumor has been circulating around the Last City: expansions will be cut for old gen.
Bungie, this is a huge mistake. Whatever Microsoft and Sony have said, please do not let them corrupt Bungie like Oryx corrupts the Light. Yes, more next gen consoles will likely be sold, but is it worth losing the business of so many guardians and such a huge portion of your loyal fanbase, who have followed you on their Xbox 360 from the birth of Master Chief in Halo CE all the way to the reign of Oryx in The Taken King? With all the buzz about new and old gen cross-compatibility, is it really that hard to whip up 2 more versions of the exact same game? If money is all Activision and Bungie care about, why would they not sell to the massive old gen crowd? How much money would Bungie and Activision have lost if not one old gen copy of Destiny was sold?
Bungie, I beg of you to think of the young guardian standing in the shadow of a cardboard cutout of Lord Shaxx, dreaming every night of being a valiant guardian, but who cannot afford the 350 dollar upgrade to a new Playstation from his brothers old one. How hard will his aspirations will be crushed when he hears that "Rise of Iron is only for the current gen. I'm sorry, old gen is dead," From the unamused adolescent GameStop employee?
No. With 54 million 360s and 50 million PS3s, you can not truly say that the old gen users are obsolete. The love (and money) that us old genners still have to give is here. All you have to do is ask for it, Bungie!
Old Gen still exists! We will not be cast off! We come in force and numbers!

By your logic we should still be playing new Mario games on NES. It's been 3 years since this gen fully launched and I know money can be tight, granted I live in a poverty stricken area myself, but there's no reason you can't save to get a next gen system. Took me 7 months AFTER launch to get a PS4. It CAN be done. Stop whining and upgrade. That's what it means to be a console gamer. If not, just build a decent PC rig and shut up.

9 RepliesYOU HAVE NO EXCUSE. I went to Rent-A-center and got this Xbox one for less than 60 dollars a month and paid it off in less than a year. No deposit or anything just a first month's payment. In the time you took to rant on here about how they should keep old gen you could've went and cut your neighbors grass for 30$ and there you have half your first month's payment. Btw I had NO CREDIT at all when I got this Xbox all you need is a cosigner, my girlfriend consigned mine and she has no credit either. Trade your old gen console in towards your new one.

If we want the game to really improve this has to happen sooner or later. Ppl had 3 years now to save up for a ps4/xbox one.. Did you really expect old gen would be supported forever?

Tldr Leave old gen behind, buy a -blam!-ing new console. Save up 20 dollars a week and you'll have it in no time.

It's time for destiny to ditch old consoles...the game is being held back, and people are tired of it. I think bungie is tired of it too.

It does cost a lot more money to develop for old gen consoles. In the next year or so a new console is coming out with even more powerful processors than before. Old gen had its day but now it's holding destiny back.

Destiny is not enjoyable on old gen. Ps3 and xbox 360 has limited Destiny for too long as it is. Scrap the old and move forward.

With the new ps4s and xboxs coming and everthing becoming more powerful than they are now there is no way to keep last gen going.
