How to Separate PVE from PVP (PLEASE READ THIS. ITS NOT CLICKBAIT)

I've seen numerous post saying seperating PVE from PVP. The easiest way to do that is to do the same thing that you do to increase or decrease damage with different types of guns against A.I combatants. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/12607 A.I example (Update 1.1.1)
Shotguns Increased damage against all non-Guardian combatants by 2x (100% increase) Reduced high-end range values Damage falloff starts sooner Reduced starting ammunition in PVP
PVP Example: Auto Rifles do 3% more damage against Guardians in the Crucible. Ammo Example: Guardians pick up less special ammo in Crucible Game Modes. There. That's it. That's how you separate damage and Ammo. Its so simple. I wish I had thought of this earlier. Comment below on what you think.

 • They can only change pve damage separately. They can change how much ammo you get from pvp boxes, but not total or starting ammo.

 • This is similar to something I wrote a while back; truth is that they've done it before and have shown it in their patch notes that they have done, and thus can do, it to some weapons/perks/ability. What I don't understand is why they don't do it for all the things.
