Now I'm not saying change the damage or the range or its activation time or anything else of that nature. I'm just wanting Bungie to fix the mechanic that Leads to a guardian taking the full amount of damage at a range just for having a finger in the blast zone. Add some sort of body volume percentage count that measures how much of a guardian's body is in the blast zone. Anything over 35-40% of body volume or if the head is in the zone takes the full damage from any stick grenade. Anything less than 35-40% takes exponentially less damage.
So basically this applies to every stick-type grenade in the game: Lightning, Spike, and Tripmine. This way when, quite often, a person barely clips the zone of effect he/she doesn't feel BS'd when they then look to where the explosion came from.
P.S. This was an actual suggestion unlike another person who only said "just do it" on a "Nerf tripmine" post.

I mean I saw this kid running 2 tripmines. Killed all 3 of us, he was last one alive, he forgot he had other tripmine. Teabagged us, the grenade blew up, killing him. We all 3 used self rez, teabagged him

Lightning grenades are busted.

I don't get this post at all. Tripmines are the shittiest grenades in the game unless you stick someone. People run through them and barely take damage all the time. Hell, they practically have to set up camp and have a seat on top of one for them to kill.

No because trip mines are really the only grenade golden gun has. If it's that much of a bother just max your armor.

It's not an AE. It's a small field. It's a straight line. It trades radius for range. Just saying. That's like saying "I can't strife left and right when I'm in a wall of fire grenade." Every Grenade is different. Over used yes. But different. A flux grenade literally does nothing unless it's attached to someone. It has 0 radius. It just so happens that trip mine sticks and has range. Not a hunters fault if you don't see a big ass red beam split the sky revealing its location before you charge guns blazing.

Bump because apparently only the most controversial posts ever became famous on these stupid forums.

I absolutely agree. The range of which those things one shot me is ridiculous.
