Destiny's weapon development is an epic fail. You get to a certain point in the game where legendaries that aren't god-rolls are instant dismantles, which then defeats the purpose of Exotics and turns them into infusion fodder. At this point, its gotten so out of whack. By Bungie not separating PvP from PvE and nerfing everything, weapons are more bland than ever, which creates a demand for god-rolls, which leads to dismantling anything that's not, which leads to Exotics being infusion fodder, which leads to bland weapons, which creates a demand for god-rolls, and on and on. Its like being stuck in an endless loop and the only way to make it stop is to quit and hope D2 is something different.

  • And they ruined it with 3oC. Honestly, they are the downfall of exotics in this game period. They flooded the market with yellow engrams, now they're a dime a dozen. Who in their ranks thought it was a good idea is beyond me. Why they're called "exotic" is beyond me. They've rendered the nightfall completely worthless. I remember in Y1 when I would be so excited to see some yellow print in the bottom of the screen next to my gamertag. Geeking out before opening the chest in the VOG hoping for that kick ass weapon to drop. Killing Crota and hoping for the crux, or TLW. Maybe this time. Maybe next. Who knew. Now. Cool. Spend a hundred strange coins and pop a 3oC before almost any activity and you'll eventually get a engram to drop. Totally asinine. I hope, at least for Destiny 2, or whatever new updates and DLC's they come out with, they just leave exotics out of the advertisements. Hell they advertised exotics that have yet to even drop from TTK. I hope they keep their mouths shut and just let us find them in the game on our own. But they won't. They'll reskin weapons for Rise of Iron, change the color scheme and brand them as "new". They'll add two whole armor sets per class, each having a different base color scheme and say "new armor", and the same ol' ships with different colors.
