Astrid nods and takes a few mental pictures of the place, checking for weak points that they might use one day.

"The central chamber is near." She could hear it. The distant, pained moans of agony.
-
"And I'm guessing that's Isha.... Poor girl.... I've never been a fan of suffering....." Astrid readies her scythe and sneaks towards the chamber.
-
"He has many test subjects. But Isha is his most prized one. His way of showing his twisted love."
-
"He doesn't know how to be a good lover... Just more reasons to hate him...."
-
"Luckily I do..." He chuckles, going down a flight of rotten stairs.
-
Astrid follows him down the stairs, slightly nervous about how stable they are.
-
He holds her hand, but he was so large that he basically held her entire body in his hand, picking her up. "Here. Let me help."
-
"Thank you..." Astrid smiles at him and switches to her crossbows, ready to act as ranged support for him.
-
The tunnels grow dark and damp, they were approaching the inner chamber. "Get ready... as soon as we free her, he will know."
-
Astrid nods and switches to Magik dampening bolts.

The room they entered was simply horrific. Tubes with strange lifeforms in them were living agonizing lives as they were used to test Nurgle's plagues. Each of them was mutated by a horrible, monstrous disease... they were like vegetables. Unable to barely remain conscious. "Try not to let this place taint you as it has tainted me so long ago. Try to remain pure..."
-
"I want to put them out of their misery.... Let them finally know peace..."
-
"I would wish to do so as well. But that would attract too much attention, and the wrath of Nurgle. To do so would completely shatter my plan. I am afraid we cannot do such a thing." He says, walking past them.
-
Astrid grips his arms and sighs sadly, her eyes filled with sorrow towards their pain.
-
"Funny, I had never thought of seeing a former servant of Slaanesh feel sorrow from pain." He chuckles lightly. "It's why I chose you."
-
"I-It is?..." She looks at him with confusion,
-
"Indeed. You are so different from the rest of them... they blindly follow Slaanesh into madness, giving their body and soul to the god. But you... you did not. You wondered about your place in life. You wondered about your future. your. future. That is why I chose you. Because you cared about yourself." He smiles at her. "That is why I wanted you by my side. I didn't want to let such wonderful uniqueness fall into the madness of Slaanesh."
-
"Thank you...." Astrid smiles up at him and softly hugs his arm.
-
He smiles warmly at her, despite their surroundings. "And I am glad you have decided to join me. I was planning on having offspring in the future, but I want real offspring. Not like my father, who cloned his sons. I want real, natural infants."
-
Astrid's eyes widen as she nods. "Yes, of course. I would love to be the mother of your children."
-
He smiles. "Thank you. But for now, we should focus on our objective. I will let you think upon what we discussed."
-
"Alright, where could she be....."
-
"In the deepest of his chambers. Where he keeps his prized possessions."
-
"Alright. Lead the way."
-
A final wooden door rested before them. "There it is..." He opened the door to Nurgle's inner sanctum. Row upon row of strange liquids and ingredients were displayed on shelves, an unfinished grimoire rested on a book holder, and the centerpiece rested between it all. Nurgle's cauldron. The festering, bubbling mixture was reeking of green fumes. "Better not approach that..." Then, they noticed her. A woman, in a pristine dress, sat within a rusty cage. Her blonde hair was impeccable, as was the rest of her body. For having been there for ten thousand years, she seemed oddly healthy... "Isha. The goddess of life." The Eldar woman turned towards them. "Wh... Who are you..?" "I am Noiratrom. This is my beloved, Astrid. We are here to free you, because I have need of your assistance." The woman sounded like she was on the brink of tears. Isha, the Eldar God of life, health and Regeneration, was perhaps the only damn compassionate thing in the entire universe. She loved life in all forms, and cared for every being in the galaxy. Although she was Nurgle's favourite pet, she kept hope, for centuries, that someone would come and rescue her. Every time Nurgle would unleash a plague upon the galaxy, she would be there to find it's cure. She never stopped caring for life... and never would. "Oh... my.... please.... help me..." She held her hand through the bars, in a desperate plea for help. Noiratrom approached the cage. Quickly, he realized something. "Stay there, Astrid. I don't want to risk you getting hurt." He placed astrid down, pushing his hands towards the cage. He was met by a powerful forcefield. He used his entire strength to reach the bars, pulling them open while Isha helped him push it open. She fell out of the cage, and he fell to the ground, she fell on him. "Oh! Freedom! Thank you! Thank you so much..." She was basically bawling at this point. "Please, Goddess, keep the thanks for later. Nurgle will be here at any moment!" He quickly opened a portal to the formless wastes.
