Nightfall Loot
So I just soloed the Nightfall because none of my friends play Destiny, and when I finally beat it after an hour or so, all I got was a Kallipolis chest piece (which I could just buy from the New Monarchy vendor) that was a lower light than all of my current gear. I also got a Mote of Light. That's it. A chest piece worse than my current gear that I could just buy from a vendor and a single Mote of Light. Just one. I thought Nightfall's were supposed to give you good (or at least decent) gear. Did they make it so that if you solo it, you don't get as good gear on purpose, or is it a bug or glitch or something. I'm a little salty right now because this isn't the first time it's happened. For the past 2 weeks, the Nightfall gave me really bad stuff, that I ended up dismantling because it was worse than my current gear and Motes of Light/Strange Coins (Most I've gotten was 3 Strange Coins).

1 ReplyIf you can convince yourself that you are doing nightfall solely for the rep boost you get, you will never be disappointed by another nightfall. Expect very little and you won't be let down.

Nightfall isn't worth doing, ESPECIALLY solo. You have better chances popping Three of Coins and running strikes or Challenge of Elders.

no complaints this NF, 2 of us got the Stolen Will shotgun and an exotic dropped for me...the end game loot was not bad either. got 11 3oC, my other teammates got a Hacksaw w/ some good rolls and the Hereafter...overall a nice haul!!!

I soloed last week's and got 12 3oc, fml.

Hey at least you got something, my last nightfall I got, 12 more three of coins lol. Felt like I was playing slots and won, but only 12 dollars on a 1 dollar machine. I had popped a three of coins going in and all else that dropped even at the rewards page where blues.

I solo'd the Taniks NF and I think that's where I got my first exotic, Hard Light.

I only do the nightfalls if someone invites me to help. I miss year 1 when everything mattered

I don't play the nightfalls anymore, Solo or otherwise. The rewards are usually not worth the effort... Usually worse then just playing the heroic strike.

1 ReplyDon't solo nightfall ever in today's standards, it's not worth it. Team up in 3 and finish it fast for the 625~687(?)ish vanguard points.

That's why I never solo nightfall anymore, unless it's faster or just as fast.

It should drop mainly legendary weapons with unique perk sets or legendary armor with really good stat rolls, AT LEAST!... I got three 330 ghost shells last week.... all with sub par stats... I DID get a 335 Luck Raspberry a couple of weeks ago though! It drops decent every once and a while but mostly it's trash..

Last one I did, ages ago: 270 blue boots and a 295 ghost shell. Three or so before that similar. I don't really bother with it anymore unless friends want to do it.
