"Thank you..." Astrid smiles at him and switches to her crossbows, ready to act as ranged support for him.
-
The tunnels grow dark and damp, they were approaching the inner chamber. "Get ready... as soon as we free her, he will know."
-
Astrid nods and switches to Magik dampening bolts.
-
The room they entered was simply horrific. Tubes with strange lifeforms in them were living agonizing lives as they were used to test Nurgle's plagues. Each of them was mutated by a horrible, monstrous disease... they were like vegetables. Unable to barely remain conscious. "Try not to let this place taint you as it has tainted me so long ago. Try to remain pure..."
-
"I want to put them out of their misery.... Let them finally know peace..."
-
"I would wish to do so as well. But that would attract too much attention, and the wrath of Nurgle. To do so would completely shatter my plan. I am afraid we cannot do such a thing." He says, walking past them.
-
Astrid grips his arms and sighs sadly, her eyes filled with sorrow towards their pain.
-
"Funny, I had never thought of seeing a former servant of Slaanesh feel sorrow from pain." He chuckles lightly. "It's why I chose you."
-
"I-It is?..." She looks at him with confusion,
-
"Indeed. You are so different from the rest of them... they blindly follow Slaanesh into madness, giving their body and soul to the god. But you... you did not. You wondered about your place in life. You wondered about your future. your. future. That is why I chose you. Because you cared about yourself." He smiles at her. "That is why I wanted you by my side. I didn't want to let such wonderful uniqueness fall into the madness of Slaanesh."
-
"Thank you...." Astrid smiles up at him and softly hugs his arm.
-
He smiles warmly at her, despite their surroundings. "And I am glad you have decided to join me. I was planning on having offspring in the future, but I want real offspring. Not like my father, who cloned his sons. I want real, natural infants."
-
Astrid's eyes widen as she nods. "Yes, of course. I would love to be the mother of your children."
-
He smiles. "Thank you. But for now, we should focus on our objective. I will let you think upon what we discussed."
-
"Alright, where could she be....."
-
"In the deepest of his chambers. Where he keeps his prized possessions."
-
"Alright. Lead the way."
-
A final wooden door rested before them. "There it is..." He opened the door to Nurgle's inner sanctum. Row upon row of strange liquids and ingredients were displayed on shelves, an unfinished grimoire rested on a book holder, and the centerpiece rested between it all. Nurgle's cauldron. The festering, bubbling mixture was reeking of green fumes. "Better not approach that..." Then, they noticed her. A woman, in a pristine dress, sat within a rusty cage. Her blonde hair was impeccable, as was the rest of her body. For having been there for ten thousand years, she seemed oddly healthy... "Isha. The goddess of life." The Eldar woman turned towards them. "Wh... Who are you..?" "I am Noiratrom. This is my beloved, Astrid. We are here to free you, because I have need of your assistance." The woman sounded like she was on the brink of tears. Isha, the Eldar God of life, health and Regeneration, was perhaps the only damn compassionate thing in the entire universe. She loved life in all forms, and cared for every being in the galaxy. Although she was Nurgle's favourite pet, she kept hope, for centuries, that someone would come and rescue her. Every time Nurgle would unleash a plague upon the galaxy, she would be there to find it's cure. She never stopped caring for life... and never would. "Oh... my.... please.... help me..." She held her hand through the bars, in a desperate plea for help. Noiratrom approached the cage. Quickly, he realized something. "Stay there, Astrid. I don't want to risk you getting hurt." He placed astrid down, pushing his hands towards the cage. He was met by a powerful forcefield. He used his entire strength to reach the bars, pulling them open while Isha helped him push it open. She fell out of the cage, and he fell to the ground, she fell on him. "Oh! Freedom! Thank you! Thank you so much..." She was basically bawling at this point. "Please, Goddess, keep the thanks for later. Nurgle will be here at any moment!" He quickly opened a portal to the formless wastes.
-
Astrid helps the goddess up and leads her to the portal, a smile on her face. "Let's get you out of here.... You'll be safe once we're there..."
-
"Hurry!" Noiratrom grabbed them both and jumped through the portal right as Nurgle was appearing back into his lair. Upon discovering that his beloved was gone, Nurgle screamed in rage and destroyed his workshop in a fit of hate, breaking apart his precious ingredients. Due to this event, the universe would know a freedom from diseases for several millennia to come. Making diseases had lost its appeal to the god. It was different now. And not in a good way. Back to the formless wastes, the portal closed right behind the trio as they went through. "Now that... was close..."

Edited by Inquisitor Vaax: 6/7/2016 3:37:41 AM"You can say that again... I could have sworn I saw him staring at you right at we left." Astrid smiles at him and relaxes now that they were safe.
-
Isha hugs them both. "Goodness! Thank you! Thank you so much for freeing me! I had never lost hope... I never did..." He hugs her back, smiling. "Now now, it's quite alright. I always said we needed more benevolent gods. Speaking of gods, I have something to ask of you, Isha." "Yes! Anything for my saviours..." "I need your help to ascend into godhood." "... what." He began explaining to her his plan once they were back at the palace. "My plan is quite simple. The current lords of chaos in power are just that. Chaotic. Out of control. If left unchecked, they would destroy the universe. Their own incompetence and inner strife is what keeps them from succeeding. That is a risk I cannot allow. While the Spirit realm is divided, it cannot fulfill it's good role. It cannot do what is good for it. Souls will continue to be tortured for eternity if something isn't done. I have amassed great power. Enough to overthrow your old foe, Slaanesh. But the only remaining problem is my status. I need to complete my ascension into Godhood. Once there, I can conquer and absorb the four chaos gods into one being. Forming a single god of Chaos. God of order. God of balance. God of the underworld. Call it whatever you want... I do not do this for myself. I do it for the betterment of all in the universe. All life deserves peace... and these last millennia have been all but peaceful. With your help, Isha, I know this can be achieved. Please." He kneels before her. "as a humble being that wishes to serve life, love, in the universe, I plead to you, I beg of you to hear my request out. I will even let you stay within my realm for safety. Help me, and I can help you. And together, we can help life in the universe. The Eldar, the Humans, The Tau... every race deserves a good life." The eldar god ponders upon this. "I... I... do you promise to protect all life as best you can?" "... I promise that I will stop any needless killings. Death is a part of life that I cannot stop. But meaningless death, if able to be stopped, will be." "... well... alright then. I will grant you your wish. I will lend you part of my power, it should transform your soul into the soul of a God." Noiratrom's eyes gleamed with excitement.
-
"Thank you for this, we'll be sure your power is not in vain...." Astrid softly smiles at Isha and bows.
-
Isha closes her eyes and extends her hands forward. A cloud of stramge mist begins surrounding the two of them, hiding them from sight. Astrid can feel the air grow dense with power. It was overwhelming, like a nuclear bomb slowly exploding. Although she couldn't see, she could hear him changing. His grunts, sometimes they were charged with pain. But he didn't let that stop him. He needed this. For the sake of all that lives in the galaxy. It lasted for a long moment, one hour, one unbearably long hour of being blasted by such awesome power. After the hour was done, Isha let out a long sigh of tiredness. She would be fine, however. Her power would regenerate. Although, when the cloud dissipated, Astrid was simply awestruck at her lover's new appearance. He was taller than before, about fifty feet in height, like a true god. He had shed all of his humanity. His body was a deep shade of green and scaled, like a snake. His belly was white, but still smoothly scaled. His head was the head of a snake as well. His eyes, though... his left eye was the red, ever watchful eye of a wise owl. His right eye was as blue as the terran sky, the eye of a pathfinding, teaching wolf. Benevolence radiated from him. He had the horns of a great horned lizard, reflecting his royalty, his majesticity. They were long and curved, elegant, awe-inspiring. His snake-like body, however, possessed two long, muscular legs that were scaled like the rest of his body. They were reptilian, strong and handsome. His snake tail followed behind, ending like the tail of a wise Salamander. But the most Awe-inspiring of his features were his enormous wings. They were giant, Eagle wings that portrayed his integrity, his divinity and his power. But that wasn't all. He had another set of wings, following the first one. They were the wings of a crow, the keeper of the sacred law. He had four, enormously muscular arms. A beam of light shined down upon his holy presence. A new god was reborn. Noiratrom the sacred. All across the formless wastes, his worshipers knelt down. Life sprawled like a ripple throughout his plateau, his kingdom. Strange coloured trees grew. Streams, rivers and lakes of pink water sprawled like fountains. The formless wastes weren't that anymore. They were... so full of life. It almost made Isha cry. Noiratrom slowly opened his eyes. "I feel... different..."
-
Astrid tries to form a coherent word, but she couldn't. She was amazed and enthralled by his new appearance. Her knees wobbled as she tried to stay upright. "M-My...... K-King..... I..... I......"
