Aye, i felt the same way before I stopped playing. Everything about this game has been flat lined. It is boring. Games like overwatch that have unique characters really stand out when put against the bland and boring destiny. I can only imagine in Destiny 2 we will probably have another hive raid, more old nerfed exotics that nobody wants anymore, and raid legendaries no one wants again.

It seems like you've just over played the game. I have felt this way with many games, the new ones will always seem more interesting and they may be but there is a reason you played Destiny so much to begin with right?

Yes you are right. I have played Destiny a lot, I tend to spend a lot of time in games. Played quake 2 for ten years. I enjoyed playing Destiny and you are right I probably burnt myself out of it. I still believe the game has gotten worse from a connection and balance point though.
