The problem I see is nerfing weapons leads to more nerfing. In my opinion exotics shouldn't be pvp based but rather pve as that then gives them that over powering feel without aggravating the pvp side of the game. Competitive multiplayer needs to be even and fair caught, exotics have somewhat taken that away and you fix it by giving an exotic only playlist or nerfing them on the pvp side only (bungie nerfs them entirely which ruins the pve fun you could get out of these weapons). To me exotics are supposed to be these legendary weapons that were special made to do stuff original guns couldn't do, I think bungie just needs to keep pvp and pve seperate when it comes to these guns and their uses for them. I don't mind an exotic being overpowered or stronger cuz they're supposed to, I think they've lost their meaning only cuz of their use in pvp which again, is "supposed" to be even fought which exotics ruin that aspect and is why destiny in its current state will never be a serious competitive shooter. Exotics will keep going down until their excluded from pvp cuz you'll continuously see them nerfing new and old exotic tier weapons and as I said, nerfing only leads to more nerfing which I find unhealthy for a game.
