Few knew Of the project's existence, even fewer knew of what it entailed. Even Dutch didn't. Lance corporal Nathan "Dutch" Blackborn knew he was a product of the project, he knew he wasn't... Natural. He was part of a set, one of many. Yet he knew each one of them, the betas atleast. The alphas were a different breed, based more on aggression and brute force.
But all that didn't matter, he was cut off, inside an unknown ship, without a plan or allies. He had only his equipment with him, not a situation he'd not been in before. The scenarios he'd been running hadn't been great. Without supplies he'd need to find food or water, else wise he'd die.
He'd encountered only a few creatures, no one alive, they were easy to kill, his rifle made short work of them. Ammunition wasn't a problem, he had over a thousand rounds, with the ability to make more when needed.
He roamed the hallway rifle raised and ready, searching for supplies.

"Oh to be a queen." *A voice echoes down the corridor, out of the darkness.* "Oh to see it all fall down." *The lights begin to fail at the far end, one after another. A line, pointing straight to you. The voice comes closer, from under the cover of shadows* "Oh to watch it burn..."
-
"Didn't someone tell you? We rule the dark." He muttered to himself and his lowlight visor setting kicked in. He trained to fight at night, stealthy. He was prepared.
-
*A faint trail of sparks was heading straight towards him, his visor only picking up an outline of a cloaked figure dragging a sword behind it.* "Oh to wonder what might have been." *The voice, now identifiable as a woman's continues its slow chant, a great weight behind the words....* "Oh to know what went wrong."
-
He was fairly certain she wouldn't respond to reason and might be hostile. He raised his rifle to track her and wasn't about to be caught off guard. He did speak to her, trying to diffuse the situation. "Who are you?"
-
"All the answers are given to those who seek them." *A low laugh echoes off the walls. She continues her march, the lights failing in front of her* "I am the Ever-Dark. The One Who Devours. I am Shadow, the fallen God-Queen."
-
"Well, shadow, do you know where the hell we are?"
-
"The devouring maw of the warp. Welcome to the Bloodwrath." *She cackles, stopping in the middle of the corridor a few meters in front of you* "The belly of the beast...."
-
"Because that's not ominous at all. Let's get straight to the point, you going to try to kill me?"
-
"Do you wish to die? My hunger has been sated for now. Killing you now would only be a waste..."
-
"No I'd rather live, who did you kill them? To sate your hunger?"
-
"I kill to eat. I live to kill. Was born to kill. But I will not kill who I do not wish to die." *She turns and walks around you, picking up the tip of her sword as she goes* "Do not die, you seem interesting."
-
"Ideally I won't, which way to a place with supplies?" He said turning to face her as she passed.
-
"Upper levels... Elevators, or do you call them lifts?" *She snorts in amusement* "They will be further down the direction you are heading, on the left. Beware, guests may be arriving from below."
-
"Thank you, I'll catch the lift up then. I'd tell you to stay safe but I don't think you have to worry about it."
-
"Hardly..." *She continues on her way, humming under breath*
