[b][i]The orb begins heating up in your hand as you lose control of it.
Fiery runes appear on the surface of the orb as if it has suddenly been exposed to great evil and is attempting to protect itself from the madness.
Your hand clamps down on the orb and it's searing runes, branding your hand with ancient protective runes.
Although the runes of power were transferred to your hand, they appear inverted as if you were reading them in a mirror... Therefore they do the opposite of their intention.
The opposite of protection is destruction.
Your hand comes to life with unnatural power, shedding corpse light from the destruction runes branded into your flesh.
you now have a new power if you choose to wield it... But using this devastating weapon causes some side effects. If you wish to remove it, just cleanse yourself or get cleansed by another.
It could lead to some interesting results

I understand, redact it if you want. You could use this opportunity to mingle with the people here, trying to find someone to cleanse the runes. It would make a neat plot I think. Let me know
