Very Interesting comments...
Please If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. It really helps the people who actually care.

I'M NOT HUMAN!!!

Over dramatic bullshit, what a waste of time that was.

And they say this generation's kids are weak

When I was young, I was treated like shit by alot of people. Went to a private school, but I didn't come from money so everyone sort of looked down on me. Faculty included. The students were particularly brutal with the name calling and whatnot. Last pick always for whatever the game was in gym. Basically had my own lunch table. Ok, a lunch table to myself was actually pretty sweet. Regardless though... Y'know what that did? It turned me into an angry, caged animal. It instilled a sort of disregard for other human life. Haters, naysayers and non believers? I will gladly set you on fire and watch you burn all the while wearing an ear-to-ear shit eating grin. It's really no good... Sure, I come out on top sometimes. But the way I get there... predatory. Am I proud of it? Yes and no. Proud of where I'm at? Hell yeah. Proud of how I got here? Not really. Regrets? Some... but not enough to change the behavior if someone gets in my way, or begins to imply I'm a lesser form of life. Ultimately, I guess I'm just lucky all the mistreatment resulted in hatred and rage instead of depression and fear. Sith>Jedi.

Here is the thing, I should feel sad about this video but i feel outraged instead. Why? Because it is showing off the nanny state and instead of questioning the nanny state it is a woe is me scenario. (Granted it does have a slight sense of empowerment at the end) Why did the school have the power to take him away from his grandma without pause? Why did he not stand up to others who used a nickname he didn't like which was the start of this? This is all because of the nanny state. Kids can no longer defend themselves as defense is seen as aggression while initiating aggression is ignored. Bullies can bully all they want but if you stand up and put them in their place you are in the wrong. And its not only that you are wrong, the school and the legal system will prosecute the kids and ruin their lives even if they needed to stand up for themselves. So parents teach their kids to never do anything even when its clear that you have to stand up for yourself. Get punched in the face, called names, get stalked, harassed? Don't do anything or your life will be ruined. Meanwhile little Johnny who beats on kids has no consequences because he is troubled. Its like good is evil and evil is good now. We should go back to a simpler environment where if you talk shit, bully, harass, or even physically hurt another be prepared for consequences either from your victim or from your parents. I mean they will arrest a child and ruin his families life for making a toy gun out of a poptart but will ignore the bully who hits other kids because he is "troubled". And if any kid he hits fights back it a "quick call 911 and swat we have vile murder defending himself!!!!!" Murder is what it is likened to nowadays. And if you think that is overly dramatic you are only fooling yourself with how bad this has become. Letting kids stand up for themselves teaches valuable lessons to both parties. To the victim it teaches them when and when not to put up with abuse, that they have the power to stop it, and not to act that way themselves. To the aggressor it teaches them that the behavior can have consequences, that maybe they shouldn't act that way, and that people shouldn't be pushed around. However under the current system the victim only learns that he has no power and cannot do anything about an abuser. The psychological effects on the victim are astounding when they believe they can do nothing. Meanwhile the bully learns that bad behavior can be protected and that there are no consequences to act the way they do. Those kids also turn out great when they grow up and real life won't let them always be dominate. If kids were able to stand up to bullies early and not be prosecuted maybe we wouldn't have such depression, suicidal tendencies, and extreme reactions like stabbings and shooting when they are pushed to the brink. I would rather have a kid get into a fist fight to stand up for themselves then let their mental state deteriorate for years and push them to the brink where suicide or killing their aggressors are their only two options. Rant over.

Gorillas are sad

Love this video. It's very inspirational. To you -blam!-s who think this is lame bs, your heartless. Many people suffer from verbal harassment and abuse. It's not "name calling that hurts my feelings" it can actually be traumatizing for children. Many people including younger people suffer from depression. Depression is very hard to deal with. So grow a pair and actually think of the impact this video can have on society instead of sitting around on the Internet, laughing at people's problems.
-
Cool video, i guess.
-
Was I supposed to feel sad after watching this?

>Isn't human in the first place

Couldn't take him seriously

Im a bully and i approve of this video

The problem is that these kids didn't realize names literally have 0 effect on you if you don't give a -blam- But yes, still pretty inspirational.
-
Pretty powerful.

Bump for later
-
Offtopic does not simply become "sad" from a video

Is this that stupid porkchop video? The one that was supposed to inspire a nation of youth to turn against "bullying"? Christity christ I hated that. This kid up the block showed it to me a year or so back. Just a bunch of bullshit. Depression is real, harassment is real, abuse is real. "Bullying" is a pathetic euphemism for these things, which when used, depreciates these things in the eyes of youth.
Also, nicknames are nicknames. Some people have shitty ones. This is one case where I'm open to saying get over it. Roll with it or seek help for what it causes.
I saw this a long time ago. And I didn't feel sad. Because if I was sad, I'd take pity. I had initiative to end this crap when I see it. Pity without action is dead.

Looks like I'm not human.
