Alright, so.. basically, at my school we mostly work independently. Teachers are hella nice, but they usually just tell us to figure things out for ourselves. Sure, nothing wrong with that, but don't we at least need some guidance? At this point, I probably will learn more by watching YouTube tutorials than sitting here, waiting for teachers to share their knowledge.
Thing is, I can work on all my stuff from my own PC at home. I've got all the programs that we use at school and for stuff like math and English, I have the books available right here.
Now, why should I friggin wake up at 6:30 AM, get ready for the 7 AM bus and arrive at school at around 8:15 AM only to be very tired from getting up early and having to sit through those boring bus rides to work on my school sheit? I have to travel a total of 3 hours each day. 1,5 to go to school, and back. That's really bumming me out. And others even have to travel way longer. Respect to them.
Anyhow, I could get off bed well rested at around 8 or 9 AM and then work on my shit at my own pace from the comfort of my own comfy chair. Hell, I'd probably even get more done that way as well.
Does anyone else think this way? Or have similar experiences/thoughts?
I think people should be allowed to decide on whether or not to go to school. I'd probably only go for important stuff like tests or to use expensive equipment that I don't own, like printers for making sticker stuff for on clothing. Because that's what I sometimes have to use for certain projects.
We need to be at school for a specific amount of hours. But really, is that a good system? There have been students who passed all their shit, but didn't go in for enough hours. Know what they had to do in order to get their diplomas? Do pointless shit at school to make up for those hours. Like, what the hell? They passed all their shit. It's about learning, isn't it? To grow? Why the heck should these meaningless hours hold you back?
It's retarded in my opinion. What does it matter if someone doesn't reach all their hours? As long as they get their stuff done, right? Be it at home or someplace else. Why is it so necessary to be glued inside school so much?
Rant over...
