I hereby issue a challenge

The challenge is thus: write lore that explains why red bar guardians are like gods in the Crucible (within the confines of what we know about the lore). This is all just a bit of fun, but whomever writes the best I shall grant the Tittle of Community Lore Keeper for a week (because I can't give prizes). I aim to put a challenge out once a week in these forums (not all about lore) just for, well, fun :) Edit: post yours in a comment bellow Edit 2: we've had some really good ones so far, keep at it :) Edit 3: so one of the posts bellow (the Guardian called Muzzy) provided a link to some lore work if you're interested, so I'm sharing it here https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/203236192/0/0 Edit 4: so I'm going to be deciding the winner by the end of today (the plan is to have the title reset at the end of each challenge; my next post shall have further details), so those yet to write do so, and those just here to read bump and like the one you like best :) Edit 5: ANNOUNCING THE WINNER Well, there has been many great pieces of lore written here, and I would like to select more than one, but there can only be one winner. The title of Community Lore Keeper goes to: PlunderBegCurse Congratulations! Your words have woven a reality fit for the world of Destiny, enjoy your reward. Should you wish to maintain the title, I suggest keeping an eye out for the next challenge... But before we get to that we have to have some honourable mentions: Clone148 Gazzy1978 Fithhorseman Minerman326 And a big thank you to everyone who participated in this bit of fun :) I shall have a link to the next challenge shortly (this one will be from Armsday to Armsday, if you see what I mean), but feel free to continue with the Red Bar Lore; you've made some fantastic stuff here :) Edit 6: the next Challenge https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/205637300/0/0 Final Edit (presumably): for the sake of making these challenges easier to find I shall be adding the tag 'rossap' to future posts :) (tried to add them to this one and the current one but it wouldn't let me)

 • Ever since the Vault of Glass, the guardians' first trial, they were bound by the Vex like cause to effect. Vex can travel between space and time, parallel universes and other timelines. Because of the Vault of Glass, their substitute for reality affects all that is around it as well. If you ever go to the Tower, a hub for all guardians, notice how some are visible but you can't touch them. That is because they live in a parallel universe caused by the Vex. It is the Traveler's paracasual abilities that allows such hub of parallel universes to exist. Now, the Crucible. When Lord Shaxx and his Redjacks get a new arena, they implement Vex technology to hold these parallel universes together in these arenas. The problem is, if a certain guardian is not connected to the Vex device, his time stream will begin to separate from everyone else, his parallel universe is slipping away. To everyone else, he is reaching a higher state of existence. As the Vex does, that guardian is bending space and time around him due to the fact that his parallel universe is not connected to the Vex device and has become unstable.
