Happy Memorial Day (no it's not the same as Veterans Day) I hope your day off is great and you all have fun but just remember that someone gave their life so you could do that, so please if you go out somewhere today stop by a national cemetery and take just five minutes to honor the soldiers who died in both the call of duty and after making it back home, Thanks ^~*
This is mostly for Americans but if you aren't from America you can still do it
I also encourage you to share a family member who was buried in a national cometary
I'll go first: http://imgur.com/wBmxtAL

People would rather raise hell over a gorilla dying than remembering the soldiers that fought for our country. Sad world we live in.

Where is the salute emote con when you need it

Americans celebrate too much. You have to have a separate day for those who died vs. those who are old that were in the military. Wow. It's not like you give them crazy benefits already. Anywhere else a soldier gets a funeral, if they're lucky enough to have their family set it up.

Bump thanks may you have a happy Memorial Day as well

I sadly don't have pictures, as they are in a different state than the one I'm living in(Military Child). I know 6 dead Soldiers. One of them is buried next to his 8 year old son who commutes suicide following news of his death. We can't take our life for granted, when other have died to make sure we have it.

I can't say that it is a happy day. Especially not for those who lost a loved one or a brother/sister in arms. For me, it is a somber holiday, much like the anniversary of a loved one's death. However, I am neither angry, upset nor somehow triggered at the OP's use of the word "happy". It's just that I can't say that word today myself. I understand that it's typical to use the term "Happy ____ day" when observing a holiday. And though many are having BBQ's, enjoying the day off, it is important to remember that the day is to commemorate and remember those who did not come home and can't participate in those things that the rest of us are enjoying.

Reminder that 9/11 was a controlled demolition, and that the government killed nearly 3,000 people

Edited by CrunchyYiff23: 5/31/2016 5:28:43 AMWe all know this is just yet another day for fat Americans to have an excuse to have another barbecue. No one actually cares about a bunch of cowardly dead soldiers from a hundred years ago.
