Surprisingly, yea.
I know this way, this goes to my "quarters" where I have a telecommunications room
English
-
He takes of his helmet, revealing his face along with the eh three cross tattoos. "Mind helping a soldier out? I could use that to try to find the rest of my squad."
-
Of course, I could help you out. *Mortar enters a small room, having a leather cot, a modified telegram machine in the back, and a lightbulb hanging from the ceiling* Sorry, it's not much, but it'll do.
-
"Hey, it'll do when your on a foreign world with no clue what's around." He says laughing a bit, checking his grenades
-
True, true. *He walks over to the telegram machine* Tell me what you want out there, anyone with a certain frequency can hear it.
-
"Yeah, we use a special frequency so no one can bug us." He says, walking over the to the machine, and putting his helmet on it, pulling a cord from his pocket and attaching it to his helmet and the machine
-
Got it, what do ya wanna say?
-
"Send out this numerical code: 4-7-1-1-8-2-4"
-
*Mortar puts in what you say, and not much later, a response comes in, a bunch of numbers and symbols*
-
"What's it say?" He says looking at the screen
-
Hmm... Frequency intercepted, tracking location, that stuff
-
"Then it's not them. We would've gotten a direct response with another numeric sequence."
-
Oh, then we may wanna watch out for that one. *The telegram begins to write down another sequence, seemingly a series of numbers* I think this is a different person than the last one, just a bunch of numbers
-
"They're probably just confused. As far as I know we're the only ones who use that code."
-
Alright. What to say now?
-
"Nothing. If they didn't respond they aren't here, or are dead. I'd wager the fist though."
-
I guess so
-
"Well, I better find a place to camp out. I've got no -blam!-ing clue what's in this world."
-
It's hard to describe, it's weird... I'll send out one last thing. *Mortar types in your crew's names and sends it out on a certain frequency*
-
ill be introducing them later so yeah.
After a while nothing comes up
-
Yeah, I think there's a small room to the right of here.
-
He looks at you. "You don't mind if I use it?"
-
I don't mind, pretty sure you can use it
-
"Thanks. Hopefully I still remember how to repair this armour." He says
-
You should. The problem would probably be the lack of material
-
"It's mainly circuitry. I'll be fine."
