He gets up.
"Shit." He says, half stepping, half falling out of the pod. He surveys the damage "well, this'll be hard to explain to the 121st"
English
-
The... 121st? Man, living in the Underworld 20,000 years really DOES make you blind to the outside world. *Mortar looks you up and down with blazing red eyes, then holds his hand out to shake* Name's Mortar, and you are...
-
He looks around, seeing you. "Oh." He says, and shakes it "Corporal Jared Carmichael."
-
*He nods upon hearing your name* You okay? You had a rough crash, and your suit looks like it took a little damage too.
-
He looks at his bud, showing its at about 15% durability. "Yeah, that's true." He says, then looks around, walking over to a crate. "Alright. Okinawa, get my back. Spectre, find a vantage point and watch out. Stonewall, I want a peri-" he says, looking around "Okinawa? Spectre? Stonewall?"
-
*Mortar looks around a little* If they were in the ship with you, I don't think they made it.
-
"From the looks of the wreckage it was a one man fighter. They wouldn't have been with me." He says, opening the container and grabbing his guns and machete.
-
Oh. Well I saw only one ship, and this place kind of jams radio and communication, so, you may be stuck here a while
-
"Well, might as well find shelter. Any idea where the -blam!- I am?" He says, looking at you pistol in hand
-
A place called the "Bloodwrath" Don't really ask me, I haven't been here a while. But I think that this hallway goes somewhere safe... *Mortar walks the hall, sword still in hand*
-
"Hell, best shot I got." He says, and looks at you. "Air breathable here?"
-
Surprisingly, yea. I know this way, this goes to my "quarters" where I have a telecommunications room
-
He takes of his helmet, revealing his face along with the eh three cross tattoos. "Mind helping a soldier out? I could use that to try to find the rest of my squad."
-
Of course, I could help you out. *Mortar enters a small room, having a leather cot, a modified telegram machine in the back, and a lightbulb hanging from the ceiling* Sorry, it's not much, but it'll do.
-
"Hey, it'll do when your on a foreign world with no clue what's around." He says laughing a bit, checking his grenades
-
True, true. *He walks over to the telegram machine* Tell me what you want out there, anyone with a certain frequency can hear it.
-
"Yeah, we use a special frequency so no one can bug us." He says, walking over the to the machine, and putting his helmet on it, pulling a cord from his pocket and attaching it to his helmet and the machine
-
Got it, what do ya wanna say?
-
"Send out this numerical code: 4-7-1-1-8-2-4"
-
*Mortar puts in what you say, and not much later, a response comes in, a bunch of numbers and symbols*
-
"What's it say?" He says looking at the screen
-
Hmm... Frequency intercepted, tracking location, that stuff
-
"Then it's not them. We would've gotten a direct response with another numeric sequence."
-
Oh, then we may wanna watch out for that one. *The telegram begins to write down another sequence, seemingly a series of numbers* I think this is a different person than the last one, just a bunch of numbers
-
"They're probably just confused. As far as I know we're the only ones who use that code."
-
Alright. What to say now?
