From the pile he managed to scrap up protection for his feet, an old pair of shorts, a scarf with a hood, and a torn up long sleeved shirt. After donning his newly obtained apparel, he wiggled his toes which stuck out of the cloth and leather straps he had fashioned into sandals. He opened the door and stepped outside. It had stopped raining and was now snowing gently. The ground was slippery in some areas as the mud had frozen. He pulled the hood over his ears and stepped farther outside. He began to actually notice the other buildings in the compound and saw that there was an unusually large building in the center. The large one looked like the other buildings. Old, rusty, worn, forgotten. Something on the wall of the building caught his attention. There were strange markings painted to the exterior. They were all circleish and curvy, like glyphs. It provoked his attention and he went inside. The doors to the front had been ripped off so he waltzed right in. What he found changed him... In a good way I suppose...
