Greetings fellow Guardians, today I am going to be taking a look at some of the Vex Axis minds we know of and their purpose to the Vex Collective Mind. An Axis Mind is a powerful Vex construct that often has command over other Vex units. Axis Minds are created with very specific purposes in mind and are often key in the Vex plan they are a part of.
Zyrdon, Gatelord: A Vex Gatelord belonging to an unknown Vex programming. Zydron's purpose was
to guard the gate of the Endless Steps. This Axis Mind was killed when The Guardian destroyed it for access into the Black Garden.
Sekrion, Nexus Mind: This Axis Hydra oversaw all Vex operations across all of Venus and was tasked with turning Venus into a Vex machine world. This Axis Mind was destroyed in a Vanguard Strike operation.
Prohibitive Mind: This Axis Mind was the central mind that oversaw all Virgo Prohibition units. The Prohibitive Mind was destroyed when it was recalling all units to return to the Black Garden.
Divisive Mind: This Axis Hydra was the central mind that commanded all Sol Divisive units. This Mind was destroyed while it was powering a Vex barrier and attempting to keep The Guardian away from the Black Garden's Heart.
Sol Progeny: The Sol Progeny consisted of three Axis Minotaurs: The Eschaton Mind, The Imminent Mind, and The Primeval Mind. These Axis Minds served as direct vessels for the Garden's Heart. Their purpose was to be sent out of the Garden and bring forth the ontological powers found within the Vault of Glass. More information on the Sol Progeny can be found here.
The Undying Mind: This Vex Mind was another member of the Sol Divisive and was tasked with setting the Black Garden adrift in time and space once again, as well as reforming the Garden's Heart. This Axis Mind was destroyed in a Vanguard Strike operation before it could complete any of its objectives.
The Praetorian Order: The Praetorians found in the Waking Ruins on Venus are a special subset of the Virgo Prohibition. These lesser Axis Minds' only purpose is to guard the door of the Vault of Glass. While their defense is not flawless, it requires great skill and teamwork to overcome.
The Templar: The Templar is a special Hydra set apart from time that guards the Vault of Glass. It has a legion of fanatic Vex that specialize in dealing with intruders. The Templar also works with the mysterious Oracles. These Oracles have the ability to mark targets that the Vex Collective Mind wants or need expunged from reality itself. Once targets are marked for negation, the Templar prepares a ritual of negation that completely erased marked targets from all existence. It is surrounded by an unbreakable shield.
The Gorgons: The Gorgons are found deep within the Vault of Glass and possess the ability to alter reality and erase enemies from reality. Unlike the Oracles and Templar, a Gorgon first has to spot its target before it can erase it. To make up for this weakness, several Gorgons patrol a confusing Labyrinth. Legends say that while they are not completely unkillable, they are extremely tough and resilient and they can collectively grow more powerful every time one of their number is destroyed.
Atheon, Time's Conflux: Atheon, Axis Mind of the Vault of Glass, is a being outside of time. Atheon regulates the entire Vex Conflux system and can reshape the flow of time itself inside the Vault. Due to the loop from which Atheon was birthed, this Vex Mind is always alive at some point in our timeline, explaining why there have been more than one successful raid on the Vault in which Atheon was destroyed. Atheon was one part of an elaborate Vex plan to insert themselves into reality itself.
Overmind Minotaurs: The Overmind Minotaurs are the servants of Qodron's will. They command the Vex units found within the Prison of Elders. Some Overmind Minotaur models have the ability to mark targets for detainment.
Qodron, Gatelord: Qodron is a Vex Axis Mind that seems to have its own will. It arrived in the Prison of Elders with its forces sensing that Guardians would one day enter to do battle with the Prison's residents. Qodron has the ability to mark targets with an advanced Detainment Field, one that slowly damages adversaries trapped inside.
Quria, Blade Transform: This Mind was an Axis Hydra whose original purpose was to deduce the Sword Logic and combat the Hive. Quria was vanquished during a battle with Oryx on the Nicha Thought-Ship. Quria was unable to correctly simulate Oryx, but sent all data gained from the encounter with the Hive to the Vex Collective Mind. Quria was taken by Oryx and given to Savathûn as a gift.
The Conductive Mind: This Vex Mind was a Hydra in possession of a very powerful Vex Arc source. It was destroyed by a powerful Warlock who used the Arc source to master Arc Light and become a Stormcaller.
Morphon, Blighted Mind: Morphon was an Axis Hydra taken by Oryx. It is unknown what its original purpose was, but its new purpose was to usher the Taken into the Vault of Glass and gain access to the ontological powers inside. Morphon was destroyed during a Vanguard mission to rescue Praedyth.
Theosyion, the Restorative Mind: Theosyion is a part of the Vex Weavers, Vex Minds with the ability to create a bridge through time and undo any actions that severely setback the goals of the Vex Collective Mind. Theosyion was destroyed by a Vanguard Strike team while it was attempting to bring Sekrion, Nexus Mind back from its destruction.

The Taken Hydra in the Vault was called Morphon, not a Matrix character. And you forgot about the Seditious Mind in the PoE.
