There is not that much, because he literally was resurrected at a young age, a freaking baby. As the Ghost was trying to figure out what's going on it gets blasted by a Vandal's Wire Rifle. Before it could get the baby a patrolling team of Guardians found him and took him to the tower. [i]insert coin to continue story[/i]

So the vanguard has some doctors and cryptarchs examine him. He's healthy, human, and the ghost didn't make a mistake. He's got a lot of light in him. They hand him off to a Warlock who turns out to be his father resurrected as a Guardian. He raises him, teaching him simple things. The tower is like his home and the people within his family. Then, one day, he got too curious. He found a way out of the city and guess which house captured him.

Surprise, it's the House of Kings! They capture the pre preteen and treat him like a Dreg. The King's Kell himself even cuts off one of his arms. Within a day his father storms in on a rescue mission, and he tells his ghost Ron to get Leo back to the tower on their ship while he holds the Fallen back. After some horror induced arguments they crash in the Reef. Ron is captured and disabled and Leo is about to be imprisoned when Variks interferes. Leo is scared but Variks is kind to him and takes him in for the time being, acting like a father.

Variks teaches him about the Eliksni, they're language, and many other things. Soon his real father finds him and Ron and takes them home, but now the Reef is his second home. After years of training under his father, Ikora, and Shaxx, he joins the ranks as a fully fledged Guardian. His father gives Leo his trusty Conviction II as a sign of how proud he is. Then it gets tragic again

Eris only recently let the vanguard send Guardians to finish what she started, but so far no luck. Leo's father Draxis thought his fireteam could do it. They fail and they all return, except for Draxis. Just Ron returns. Leo takes it upon himself to go and save his father with Ron by his side. Cayde and Shaxx follow close behind without his knowing. He finds his still alive father after tearing thru Hive all the way to past the bridge. With Cayde and Shaxx they finish Crota. Seeing his son's strength, he gives him Ron to be the ghost never had.

Fast forward a few years, Leo is now about 21-22. He's already taken on Vex (Black Garden and VoG) and helped the Reef (HoW stuff). His father died mysteriously. He's now a top notch Guardian, hunting Kings while doing normal Guardian stuff. He's got his own fireteam which includes his Awoken Titan girlfriend. Soon, however, Oryx arrived. After all that stuff with his arrival he speaks to Leo thru an Echo saying that he killed his father as revenge for Crota. Now Leo is preparing himself to avenge his father.
