Destiny doesn't exist. I believe that every man, woman, and child has the capacity to change his or her future. Nothing is certain except for death (not even taxes since it's possible to die before adulthood).

The concept of destiny and fate terrifies me. They're essentially telling you that the choices you make aren't choices at all and that everything you do is predetermined. I watched this one anime where the main characters were on the "good" side where destiny should not be defied, and I could never support them because of it.
