That I am American orFrench (from France). I mostly get that assumption from Americans, as they apparently can not distinguish me from people from their country or other french men. I am french Canadian. My Québécois accent rarely comes out when speaking English, but I do not enjoy being called French (from france). Not due having hate on France, but because that is not where I am from.
Other french people, and other English speakers from places outside of the U.S (like England, of course) can place where I may live. There's nothing wrong with being from France, but it different . Kind of Like Americans and British people. But not so much.
