If you don't know, you can find a vault-tec logo on a door in DOOMs prologue. You can also find a dead body in hell wearing an iron helmet from Skyrim, but what if..... It meant something more
In fallout 4 you can find Nirnroot grown on the Prydwen, this plant is native to various regions in the elder scrolls series. What if fallout took place thousands of years after the elder scrolls and the Great War started after the UAC set up shop on Mars. What if Vault-Tec was partnered with the UAC?The iron helmet could be from a Nord warrior banished to hell? I dunno I think I'm going crazy
-
Or better theory. The UAC opened more than one portal. They created Vault-Tec to conduct experiments on the inhabitants of the new world. They dropped the bombs as part of those experiments. As for Nirn, whether they have any established presence is unknown. They clearly were interested enough to bring back specimens, and even bring Nirnroot into Boston.

doesnt Nirn(ES planet) have like 3 moons?
-
Nah, they're just references. Every time a game company makes more than 1 franchise people feel the need to put them all in the same continuity
-
Shoddycast did a video on the topic before Dooms launch. Worth a watch.
-
Not only is TES set on another planet, Nirn, it has two moons and completely different continents. Fallout takes place on Earth, so the two are not in the same universe. These are simply Easter eggs Bethesda wanted to include in their games.
-
Or they're just easter eggs referencing past games...

Edited by Dad’s Milk (Timelost): 5/19/2016 11:15:55 PMEveryone here is dissing on you but I think it could work, you just need to refine it a little. The world starts off in the TES universe, and thusly the creation of that universe is the start for all of them. Time progresses from TES Arena to Skyrim and a little beyond. Then it happens An event so catastrophic it tears the world apart, churning and distorting the continents and destroying one of the moons. Magic and all knowledge related to it is lost, and the Aedra and Daedra and locked out of this world. Any mortals trapped in Oblivion or elsewhere are permanently so stuck, while the gods and Daedra are left to mutate in their dimensions. However out of all this, life survives. The mer were wiped out, along with all the beast races and magically adept humans (aka Bretons). Some plants survived (nirnroot for example) and most non magical animals did too. When the dust is finally settled, we are left with the Earth and humanity as we know it. Progression: from the Mongol Empire to the Russian Revolution. Then history starts to divert towards the Fallout universe. Now here's where the theory gets a little sticky, as there could be two options: A) The UAC becomes a private enterprise and successfully makes it to Mars and colonizes with little to no tech or info being revealed. B) After society has been rebuilt, presumably with the help of Vault-Tech, UAC forms and launches into space to colonize Mars Either way, they wind up on the Red Planet, open up the gates to what is actually a realm of Oblivion, and Doom begins from there. There! Little to no flaws (I think) that would bring it down entirely. I just didn't want to see you get completely shit on by everyone else on the forums. At the end of the day they are just Easter eggs, but hey, it's just a theory, a Game Theo-*sued for plagiarism*
-
I heard a theory that Elder Scrolls takes place after Fallout.
-
Another great thing in Doom is if you die in a pool of lava, Doomguy does the sinking terminator thumbs up
-
Methinks your tinfoil hat is on too damn tight.
-
Or it could be that Bethesda is the publisher so they're just throwing in some easter eggs.
-
Edited by Fotbitr: 5/20/2016 1:05:35 AMIt's called an easter egg. DOOM 2 had references to Commander Keen by having hanging Keen's as an Easter egg in the game. Also, the TES lore is extremely expansive and pretty much out rules your fanboy dreams. Sorry.
-
No just cuz its bethesda...
i know they didnt make doom
-
Probably just an easter egg.
-
Except fallout was made originally by interplay, not Bethesda, and I doubt that Bethesda would have just adapted Fallout into elder scrolls.
-
One problem with fallout taking place years after TES nirn has 2 moons
-
This is cool but if the UAC was already on mars by the time of the great war, then I think that the fallout technology would be much more advanced considering how even we haven't made it to mars yet.
-
Fallout is based in America. TES is on a continent called Tamriel that doesnt exist in the real world.
-
Still not as crazy as your avatar.
-
Fallout being Elder Scrolls future has been a theory for years.
