I'm resurrecting this debate about buying armor materials. There's a real chokepoint here. I don't care what currency, and I don't care what vendor. I just wanna buy them.
I read somewhere that when the decision to buy weapon parts was made, it was because weapons were often dismantling into motes, and that there are only 3 slots for weapons but 5 slots for armor, (meaning that there'd be less opportunity to get weapon parts). That was sound reasoning. Back in the day.
But now, we have a totally new infusion system. It'd be great to "play" with this infusion system as I'm assuming the developers were intending: create different builds for different styles of play, make your character look exactly how you'd like, with the perks you use most. But the current setup that will take a LOT of grinding, which just seems crazy at this point in the year.
(I know you can pay 750 glimmer for one green armor piece from the Vanguard; I just want something with more reasonable cost. The "dismantling vanguard greens" method just leads to the need for crazy glimmer grinding in the exclusion zone or something. Which is boring year 2.)
So... who's with me? Let's tweak that thang!

Totally agree. I am always out and hate the grind to get them. It wouldn't hurt if armor also upgraded a faster. But then I don't have the armor parts to upgrade anyway so I guess doesn't matter. This would be the biggest quality of life improvement since selling weapon parts.
