"Blam" is an intense enough word on its own, and when they add the exclamation mark, it looks like it's being shouted. Most of the time, swear words are just dropped casually, so the intensity of the current swear filter seems misleading. It should replace swear words with "-wort-" instead of "-blam-".
Examples:
-wort- you
That was -wort-ing awesome
English mother-wort-er, do you speak it?
What's up my -wort-s?

-blam!- was one of the codenames for Halo before Halo actually had a name. The first codename was inappropriate and embarrassing. Later on, it became our profanity filter. Every time you write an expletive on Bungie.net or the mobile apps, you're reciting Halo history.
-
Us elites have always taken a back seat in halo, time we take a front seat in the forums
-
What the -blam!- you talking about
-
So Fornicating Under Consent of King is no longer available?
-
Or could change -blam!- to -nope!-
-
There needs to be a censor that changes to -Caboose!- whenever a profanity is said. Dunno which would work, but -blam!- probably works best.
-
Petition to change "-blam!'-" to "-shisno-".
-
I heard somewhere that "Wort wort wort!" is just Sgt Johnson saying "GO GO GO!" backwards.
-
I support this with all my -wort-ing heart.
-
-blam!-
-
Or... Blarg. Just think about it...
-
I think -wort- is too close to a Halo reference, and for the many people here who may have no knowledge of Halo, they could think that you're referring to the body wort...which actually isn't a terrible analogy.

-
change it to -raspberry!-

Signed. Bless up.

Us elites deserve some respect

No. -blam!- is a reference to the halo project. The code name was -blam!- if we change it to wort we lose history.
-

-
Signed you stupid mother -wort-er!

Why not. Signed.
