As a female, I don't raid. I've never gotten an automatic pass into a group. What I HAVE gotten is strange men yelling that women have no place playing video games, especially FPS. And lots of immediate kicks when I first speak up in a party. Or like, "oh, you're a girl? I didn't know, we're probably going to just go with our friend instead..." And kicked. LFG is toxic. Really guys, you want hot chicks to play video games? Don't be asshats.

Edited by ditto4sale: 5/15/2016 3:08:20 PMWow when a girl makes a comment she gets 16 replies but when s boy like me does it he can't even get two. Sexism at it's finest

Oh no, you didn't get enough attention? Really makes me feel just awful for you.

Not hatin on u at all, hating on society in general. How can someone make a post as bland as calling out their gender and stating that they raid, you can say that all you want you have free speech, and get a message from a clan saying that you can join them and countless other people respond in to you In a positive way. If I made a post like that, I'd either not get any replies at all or soul get replies, but would've gotten " nobody cares" or " -blam!-" comments. Seems like there's a little gender preference even in a video game forum.

I posted my bad experiences and these are people that want to rectify those experiences and help me raid with a nice group for once. If anything it should give you more hope for our online community because it shows people care enough to want to bring a stranger's game experience up if they've been struggling. I didn't post it for likes and comments. I posted because I had a reply for the topic. Most replies I leave don't garner any attention whatsoever. I'm fine with that. Expecting a lot of comments off of everything you post is ridiculous and will only succeed in disappointing you.

Edited by ditto4sale: 5/15/2016 3:32:46 PMI don't really care if I get replys or likes on my posts , I was making a hypothetical statement. I said that if I made the exact same post but replaced female with male, I probably wouldn't get any replies or likes. I'll admit, I'm a little jealous, but I'm not really afraid to admit that if I reason for being jealous. I don't make comments like that on these forums because I know nobody would care, but all of the sudden, people start swarming this comment. And I believe it's because you added the "female" part to it. I don't care if you add female to your comments, I think it's great that people other than men are playing this game. But that just what I think, and to you guys, it doesn't matter what I think.

I'm also more likely than happy too help out with raids and trials. It doesn't look like you've played trials much. I only ever hear of these stories on forums I've been in plenty of raid groups that have had females and nothing was said

I have a pretty even split of men and women on my friends list and have a few observations of where the women fall behind the men 1) Women tend to not possess the ability to go from decent guy to raging a-hole in one second that many men do . 2) Women tend to not be able to rudely crunch chips in my ear while we play.

Hi Fiera Aurion, I'm really sorry to hear about your past game experiences. I'm a member of a clan founded by a woman. We have multiple women in our group and we're adult oriented. We actually enjoy walking people through the raid and helping them. If you're interested in gaming with a group like ours, let us know. We'd be happy to have you.

Sorry you've had such bad experiences. I'd be glad to help out. As some of the people I play with always have girls in raid groups or pvp matches. Best of luck in the future. Both guys and girls are dicks...

Edited by Mmm Toasty: 5/9/2016 3:21:37 PMPoor choice of words. But good message none the less

Just saying that we take whoever regardless of skill level. We just don't play with aholes..

Thank you for the offer man, I'll be sure to add you. And you nailed it, guys and girls can both be awful haha

most ladies i know in real life are unable to use the analog sticks correctly and get too frustrated to play. i've seen first hand the failure of non-gaming ladies, however there are several ladies on my friends list that are quite skilled at gaming, one of them is one of the best raiders i've run with. LFG can be a pain for sure but i guess getting kicked is better than being hit on and annoyed by a bunch of disrespectful losers for an entire raid, these are probably the same people who have female characters but are guys.

I am sorry some of our community treats people like that, there is no excuse. I raid with groups of older people, all of us are married, some of there wives play also. Add me if you would like, and see not all of us gamers are not immature jerks.
-
I know the vast majority of players aren't nearly as rude as what I've encountered. I seem to have had very bad luck with groups. I'll happily add you as a friend, I try to surround myself with upbeat friendly people and you are definitely one!

As a male, I raid all the time.

I'm super glad for you man.
