I think it has to do with the outbreak of the Internet and a lack of guidance from their parents. The generation right after their parents are probably way more knowledgable of the Internet and have more experience in the field. Still though, teaching your kid not to be a douchebag and a complete tool is up to YOU, not the kid's school teachers or anyone else.
