I am 99.8% sure the general election will come down to Clinton (D) and Trump (R), and most agree with this. However, what is up for debate, is who would be worse for the future of America?
Hillary: The Oligarchical neoliberal
Hillary is the ultimate stereotype of a corporatist, centre-right politician. She changes her views based on the political wind and the evolution of the Overton Window. She believes in the establishment and she believes in money. She does not care about the average working American. Even Obama is guilty of this as well, with him running the most expensive Presidential campaign in America history.
Trump: America's apparent answer to the Right-wing populist movement
Trump launched his campaign, on an anti-immigrant, xenophobic, right-wing populist, socially conservative and nationalist ticket. He claims to be "for the people", against outsourcing and to be in favor of keeping American jobs in America, even though he is the establishment, and further more, his ties and suits are made in Mexico. In reality, he's a right-wing provocateur; he's only in it for himself, just like Hillary. His arrogance, narcissism, extreme views and immaturity could very well tear the country apart, and make America a true laughingstock to the rest of the world. He's even been endorsed by far-right figureheads like former leader of the Front National, Jean-Marie Le Pen, and Dutch PPV leader, Geert Wilders, and former Grand Wizard, David Duke, whom he only denounced after public pressure.
In conclusion, the future of America looks bleak. As climate change, economic turmoil and the threat of war worsens, the world needs leaders, who can properly address these issues, and Trump and Hillary are not those people. They're not in it for you, they're just in it for themselves.
