Perks are fine and all but ammo may ultimately be the top tier thing for LMG's. But how does the inventory stat work? What does Field Scout do? If Qullim's Terminus was just used because of it's large reserves, was it REALLY the best, even pre-nerf? Lets find out.
The Unseeing Eye (with Field Scout): 32 magazine/70 inventory/46 rounds per crate.
BTRD-345: 46 magazine/40 inventory/36 rounds per crate.
Qullim's Terminus: ?? magazine/35* inventory/?? rounds per crate (I need someone with QT to comment numbers)
Ruin Wake: 31 magazine/30 inventory/33 rounds per crate.
The Unseeing Eye: 32 magazine/20 inventory/30 rounds per crate.
*Previously 50 inventory.
10 inventory ~= 3 more rounds.
Field Scout adds 50 inventory, or ~15 rounds.
Does the exclusive Field Scout perk make The Unseeing Eye the best, due to simply having more ammo, or would a more reliable LMG be better? I have a Ruin Wake with Linear Compensator, Counterbalance, Quickdraw, and Persistence. It's not flawless IMO but it's VERY close. Compared to The Unseeing Eye, it has lower range and ammo but better stability, reload, and perks. The recoil and handling are VASTLY superior.

UPDATE: I tested some recoil and it hit me. LMG's have all the crummy weaknesses of AR's, and I only used rockets in crucible. All my LMG success was with my counterbalance LMG's. The Unseeing Eye has nasty jitter and rightwards pull making it unsuitable for precise firing, which is the same reason most AR's have terrible crucible performance. The extra ammo is meaningless if I can't land my shots, therefore a counterbalance LMG is probably superior. To my surprise even my BTRD-345 with counterbalance and rodeo had more lateral recoil than a Doctrine or Arminius with counterbalance, though it was the best LMG experience. Apparently the ultimate LMG would be a Jolder's Hammer with Smart Drift Control, Counterbalance, Field Scout, and Crowd Control. Even without counterbalance it has surprisingly very little recoil with SDC.
