The ingame interface is very far from ideal for deciding what gear to infuse and discard and building loadouts. When I have a full vault of gear and i need to decide what to keep/discard, I really need a web interface to easily compare stats and perks on all my items. It would be super nice to also be able to dismantle and infuse gear via bungie.net or other item managers (directly from those interfaces). I realize this could potentially cause some security issues, but as long as you don't give your password to anyone, there's really not much of a problem. Doing everything in game just takes a lot longer and doing it from a web interface like a 3rd party item manager (DIM/Tower ghost) would be super convenient.
