The answer is simple, sunspots. You know that sunspot build that bungie attempted to implement that has always been lackluster in pvp and pve? Well thats what we are gonna tweak.
First things first, remove flameseeker and replace it with...
Incinerate: Sunspots are formed within every grenades blast radius. Solar vent creates a sunspot on hit. Fusion grenades will now stick to allies (but do no damage to them) and their sunspot lasts longer.
This last part will become clear soon.
So for example, a thermite grenade has a directional pattern with about 3 bursts forward, each of those bursts will now form a sunspot when the grenade is initially set off for a total of three sunspots in a forward line. A fusion grenade creates a very small explosion, so it will create one smaller sunspot (where the enemy was killed or where the grenade landed after missing the stick). An inciendary grenade has a larger explosion radius, but already burns, so it will only create a regular sized sunspot at the center of the explosion (where people already die in pvp from).
The second step would be to add a few small things to the firekeeper perk:
Firekeeper: When standing in a sunspot you gain an overshield and hammer of sol lasts longer. Allies will also gain an overshield, and sunspots last longer.
And because fusions now stick to allies, you have a reliable way of tossing someone a temporary shield (as long as they stand in the sunspot) either during a raid or in a tense situation during trials.
And there you have it folks, a neutral game for the sunbreaker. The best part is you will now have three perks in the final tree to choose from. Do you produce more sunspots and sacrifice your super with simmering flames? Do you heal yourself with the regular damage from all your abilities? Or do you make your sunspots last longer and help out you and your allies? The choice is yours.
Thanks for reading.
Edit 1: Changed the removal of fleetfire to flameseeker as flameseeker is essentially useless, changed the name of replacement perk to Incinerate instead of Erupting Light.

Most of this sounds a little absurd but I like the idea around thermite grenades. I think if thermite grenades just made three sunspots without a perk that would be enough. It would give you a path to run through in order to push enemies or a spot to stand on while defending against a push.
Can we please stop using the argument, "Titans are tanks." For real, Overwatch has tank characters, but tank characters all have: High health, Low Mobility, Large Hitboxes. Nothing about this applies to the Titan. It is "supposed" to be that way but it just isn't. Everybody has almost the same exact amount of health, the same hitbox, and Titans have the most speed. Nothing about that classifies them as a tank. The same goes for other classes, the hunter isn't built for "Offense specifically" but instead is built to do it all. Stop trying to say that each class has a specific role when each class has the same role with different abilities.
This is TERRIBLE balancing. If Destiny had a mode where everyone felt like they were always super it'd be good fun, but being able to generate overshields indefinitely doesn't sound like fair play at all. Simmering flames, armamentarium thermite grenades would literally be an unlimited overshield.

Edited by Kana, Rogue Kobold: 5/5/2016 8:04:27 PMFleetfire is amazing, though. Seriously, a perk that gives you a free +2 Agility with every ability kill (up to +6) and stacks with any other source of Agility bonus (Say, Boolean Gemini with its underrated One Way Perk) and you have a free path to the code cap of 20 Agility. Sensitivity be damned with 20 agility! It is the Destiny equivalent of being on Speed. Could we do with while replacing Flameseeker? That perk is useless.

Neutral sunbreaker lmao you must not know how to use the class right tsk tsk
-
No no no... Lol
-
The fix? Let me balance it...
-
Sounds cool, therefore never going to happen.

I must say, you do have my attention. Good job guardian, I like, I like a lot.

It sounds great, and I hate titans with a passion. But I do like this, good job.

I support this idea

Are you stupid or are you stupid Sunbreaker is great The sun spots are beast in pvp zones out an area And you can't run past it either you die before running across In pve destroys any thing inside especially if you stack

Edited by Erijian: 5/6/2016 1:02:16 AMIt's not a bad idea, but why does Sunbreaker need to have a good super and neutral game?
-
Not saying it doesn't need some tweaking but sunspot is pretty cool. Had a guy pop his super on me after I popped his shield with a shotgun, went in for the melee and suddenly near-instant death from standing directly in a sunspot that spawned under him.
-
-
That's not a terrible idea. I could get behind this
-
Cool idea.
-
Not a bad idea actually. Though Fleetfire is pretty amazing. I think the perk giving an over shield in sunspots should be what gets modified. Just give all those changes to that perk and I think it'd be pretty damn good.

the one thing i could see being a problem is the part where you put that fusion grenades will stick to teamates because that would be annoying throwing a grenade at an enemy next to your teamate would make it possibly track to your teamate but if you take off the tracking for teamates then i could see that being fine.
