Explosive Rounds Malfunctioning in Crucible

Over the past few days in Iron Banner I've been using my trusty Colovance's Duty to great effect. Mostly. My Colovance's has explosive rounds, crowd control, and third eye. As you might suspect with high impact, and two types of bonus damage it's a beast. However I've been noticing a disturbingly high number of players who seem immune to the damage or the explosions. Here's what I've seen more than a few times. An enemy is advancing on me. I start firing at their head/chest. I connect with 3+ shots. Their health bar has not registered any damage. Usually after the first 3 shots their shields ands health begin to deplete. But the time in-between can result in my death. It seems like the bonus damage from the explosions isn't registering the way it should. In some cases this was clearly the result of a lagging opponent. Not every time though. Unless this is an example of the mythical "green bar" lag. I'm not seeing the same thing using my pulse rifles. Anyone else out there seeing similar behavior in the crucible? Especially from explosive rounds?

  • In explosive rounds do not proc bonus damage, they only take a portion of the base damage and spread it in an area of effect. For example if base damage of your scout is 75 without explosive rounds when you use explosive rounds you will see two sets of numbers on a hit the reduced base damage in this case 50 and the second 25 which is spread in an area of effect. The purpose of explosive rounds is to damage large groups of clustered enemies not to increase damage to a single target.
