What about those that seek a close relationship with someone of the same sex make those who are devoutly religious despise their way of thinking?
My grandmother has told me that it's because they cannot "go forth and multiply"
From the reactions of those that have a dislike for people of a different sexual preference than what is accepted in "The Good Book",The simple fact that they can't reproduce can't be the center of the anger they display.
You may comment your own philosophy or what is generally accepted for I have only heard one singular that isn't rooted in years of " just because".

I wouldn't know what causes people to despise it myself because I actually consider same sex relationships to be completely fine. But if I had to guess, I'd say it's the worry that because it's a "sin" in the bible (which means it's abnormal), people will start accepting it as normal, then it will lead to other abnormal things in the bible becoming normal. Example: "Gay marriage? Next thing people will marry animals, or inanimate objects, or marry their family members, etc. If it's not "normal" in the bible, then It's a sin to make it normal". Of course. That's not what I personally think. That's just what I think people of extremely religious backgrounds believe.
