I usually have a god awful connection due to the WiFi having to go through two brick walls to make it to my room, despite the router being in the same house. Iron Banana has been brutal this week for me.

Try the Powernet adaptors they plug into your power socket...... worked for me

I've never used Powerline adapters but I'm sure they would be a better option than a weak wifi signal. Especially for gaming.

Buy an ethernet plug. Plug one in by router, attach cable. Plug the other one into the plug your playstation (or xbox) uses. Attach another cable and stick that in your playstation (or xbox). It's what I do and my router is only one room away. I get double the speed of connection and no lag. Ethernet plugs are pretty cheap for good ones.

If you can get a ether net cord you'll find significant improvement in your speed and latency

I'd have to feed it through the wall and lace it through the joists in the basement, wayyyy too much effort. I've grown accustomed to being weasled

Be sure to get a Cat5E or Cat6 Ethernet chord. You can get a 50ft Ethernet chord for about $25.

Ah that's evil. Hope you find a way around it
