I hope your neighbor changes the WiFi password ;) <3
Edit: Got some troubleshooting tips for you red bar warriors. Alright so ask your mom for like 15 bucks, buy a really long (and I mean really long) ethernet cord. Next, knock on your neighbors door and tell them you need to inspect their router while hiding the cord behind your back. Plug that bad boy in and make sure you have a Pabst blue ribbon in hand to make sure it all goes smoothly. Congratulations, you've upgraded to a yellow bar ;))))))
Edit 2: You people realize this is a joke?
Got several private messages of people whining with paragraphs of these random people telling me about myself. Just comment down below so we can all share in laughing at you.

Edited by KannibalKlown: 5/2/2016 3:06:13 PMI noticed 2 minutes into one IB match that I was red-barring. It was my first of the morning. Never happened to me before. So I left the match and reset my router + xbox and everything was fine (And no, I do not use WiFi... hardlined into a 100Megabit fiber connection)
-
I have and pay too high of a price for high speed internet, and still I will red bar one game and green bar the very next 5 in a row then red bar again. the whole time I can be monitoring my network speed / upload and download and everything look fine. sometimes I think it has more to do with the servers and matchmaking settings than it does the players connection.
-
Edited by Frab6: 5/2/2016 6:33:38 PMAfter that buy out with Verizon and the internet changing, my internet has been good but will tank to a one bar then kick me out or just flat out kick me out. It's so annoying that Verizon went from THE BEST to Time Warner.
-
I've noticed if you have decently good internet like 30mbps and above and you're on wifi (depending on router) destiny can still slap a red bar on you. But if you are hard wired it seems to always be green and a strong connection. I have 50mbps speed and I would still get red bar on wifi but with a hard wire never
-
To be fair, some internet providers are just absolute garbage, not gonna name names, but it rhymes with Lindsbeam.
-
Edited by StuckYa79: 5/2/2016 6:31:29 PMAre you sure it has nothing to do with the fact that after a certain point in time you have on a couple hundred thousand people online that their lagging for that reason... weird. Learn the basic facts about internet before you make yourself look like a moron online. ;). <3
-
My other house's Internet runs at barely 10mbps and I never lag :)

Edited by Im_Kaiser_Soze: 5/2/2016 6:09:22 PMNeed to get a cord, I went from 19 to 48 mbps once I plugged into the Router. Made a big difference.
-
Lol. I always think that it's kids at college playing on wifi that has about two hundred other devices hooked up to it
-
I'm pretty much screwed cause I have 75/75, my internet is too damn fast to lag out.
-
I hope my college gets better internet. But that probably won't happen anytime soon.
-
Lol! Sadly Destiny is the only online game outta the 100 I've played that gives me a f*ckin red bar.
-
its not the wifi, its the freaking freaking matchmaking system thats broken
-
When you get killed in crucible, besides showing the gamertag of the perp and the weapon, it should show their connection status.
-
all because someone red bar does not mean that they are lagging i seen people who where green bar and still lagging
-
Y'know, it's funny. I went and opened all the ports on my router for XBL and Destiny. My connection is consistently better now. Which is why it's so strange that I have more issues now than I did before. (•_•)
-
Good one.
-
That's actually pretty funny.
-
Edited by turn1racelogic: 5/2/2016 4:56:22 PMI am not sure if they are lagging on purpose, but a team of 5 red bar! Seriously? Also I firmly believe alot of players share their network while playing! I think they should put all the red bar in the same lobby!
-
Hahahaha
-
I would love to stop red barring. But AT&T Uverse is a garbage service and we can't upgrade. It's the worst.
-
Get kekt on hippies lol
-
I experienced less lag than Destiny when I played Socom: Confrontation on PS3 using WiFi with my router halfway across the house on a DSL connection. Now I'm hardwired with a close to 200Mb connection. Dedicated servers make a huge difference.
-
And enable MAC address filtering.
-
Lol awesome hate them red bar warriors dry humping walls and somehow killing
-
Its the only internet offered in my area. I don't do it to get an advantage, I don't even go positive like 70% of the time. I mainly play crucible since my friend that plays destiny pretty much exclusively plays crucible. My connection is so slow I can't even play it while I'm alone.
