To all red bar warriors who play crucible

I hope your neighbor changes the WiFi password ;) <3 Edit: Got some troubleshooting tips for you red bar warriors. Alright so ask your mom for like 15 bucks, buy a really long (and I mean really long) ethernet cord. Next, knock on your neighbors door and tell them you need to inspect their router while hiding the cord behind your back. Plug that bad boy in and make sure you have a Pabst blue ribbon in hand to make sure it all goes smoothly. Congratulations, you've upgraded to a yellow bar ;)))))) Edit 2: You people realize this is a joke? Got several private messages of people whining with paragraphs of these random people telling me about myself. Just comment down below so we can all share in laughing at you.

    • I play at different hotels from time to time, and their management of their internet is beyond my control. Sure I have the 'upgraded' service, but there are a lot of variables beyond my control. Even though my network access can cost as much as $25/day for 1G access (single triple speed switch port), it means nothing once I hit someone else's proprietary network.

      • Told a guy the other day that playing pvp while knowingly playing on shifty connection was just as bad as cheating. Told me to buy him better Internet or shut the f up. Sorry but it is. Either get hard wired decent internet or don't play pvp. It's stupid watching a player jump all over the map and miss shots because they lag. And yes I suck at pvp regardless so don't bother looking up my shitty .8 k/d...

        • I have 75 Mb/s internet, destiny still says my network is strict when I launch it. Regardless I'm rarely red bar, but I did get error coded quite a bit. Tell me, should I just pay more than the 150 a month I do now to get petabit/s DL to cater to one games shitty netcode?

Just saying to all those that think all redbars are evil masterminds, cheaters, or abusers. 50% at most of players benefit from redbarring. In other words, many people suffer from this, it hurts their ability to play. Redbaring can occur with ANYONE. A-N-Y-O-N-E. This includes anyone who complains about redbarrers, fyi. People who redbar are trying to play the game same as you. Would you go out and pay for extremely overpriced expensive internet if you didn't have the money? And most importantly, feel free to report them if their connection makes them impossible to hit and they can destroy you, I mean, that's fine, i report people for bad connection all the time, its a report option. But know that in truth, a lot of the redbarring occurs because of bungie and their lack servers, so blame them until they make dedicated crucible servers.

              • As a constant red bar player for the first 1.3 yrs. of playing PvP I can tell you my shots did not register most of the time and i got killed on average 0.87 sec by Suros, Vex and Atheon Epilogue most of the time in early yr 1. I just don't see how red bar benefit some people in PvP unless they are doing something "funny" to make themselves red bar on purpose.

              • My connection is so bad I can't even play crucible and I'm always the only one in the tower and I haven't been on a fireteam since January. I moved out to the country and lost my good internet. ):
I hope your neighbor changes the WiFi password ;) <3
It isn't the neighboors problems, it's an architecture problem around P2P. A 6x6 crucible match will require for every playstation connected to the same line at least 10Mbits upstream. I live in a country with state of the art infra-structure (source: CIA Factbook), one of the best in the world (maybe because we are a small country) and most people have 30/10Mbits or 100/30Mbits (being first downlink, second uplink). Unless you pay 80/90€ per month (plus 6€ to PSN) you will have moments of lag.... If you compare the traffic from Destiny Crucible 6x6 (ex: Control) against the traffic from Battlefield on a server.... you will notice that an architecture where you have server/client and no P2P is far more efficient network wise. I would gladly rent a server so that I could play only the game type I like, control and with the maps I want with good connectivity to everyone. Thats how I made most friends which I played online, regulars from quality servers which loved the same experience. Nothing will change here, P2P will still be around alongside with PS4 bad design and cow milking ISP's... This shit will only stop when there's laws that require software publishers to advertise how much bandwidth their game consumes. If such happened, I'm sure many games using this crap solution (P2P) would remain on the shelves.
