Smoke nades burn for 3 ticks, you know how many ticks firebolts burn for? Much more

Except smoke slows you down, damages you, and it is hard to see through. If a vortex grenade is thrown after smoke, you are dead

No you are not, the only grenade that can kill you without you being able to move is Voidwall and that takes PERFECT positioning
