For all you who dislike the so called "Wombo Combo" ask yourself this, was it really so bad? The nightstalker class was an amazing addition for the Hunter, especially since they lacked what is needed for a so called "PvE class" back in year one. All is good in this subclass but one thing, the grenades! The only somewhat effective grenade is the vortex grenade, and without lockdown it's almost completely useless. Using the smoke grenade (while sacrificing invisibility for poison) with the vortex grenade made an excellent and effective grenade for a subclass without one.
But at what cost? You have to use both your grenade charge and melee charge, along with a slot that can give your allies bonus armour and recovery, or drop more orbs. To me this seemed like a balanced combo since alone these two grenades were almost completely useless. Especially in a world where both other classes have a grenade that can either one hit you, or cause some serious damage.
Edit: I have no issues with Walocks and their firebolt. For a hunter I am also pro warlock, just though I should clear that up since so many ppl assume I complain about that.

At least with firebolts you can shoot back or run away and hide. This literally locks you in place, blinds you, and damages you leaving you with barely any way to defend yourself. Not crying for a nerf because nerfs are bad, just comparing it to firebolts which people want nerfed for some reason.
-
I'm experiencing Wombo Combo so much in IB currently and it's very aggravating because the poison blurs your vision and keeps you locked in place. Wombo Combo is just a cheap pussy strategy that only bad kids who lack any sort of gun skill, use.
-
How did it even get the name "wombo combo"?
-
Idk but the next -blam!- who decides to call it "wombo combo" is getting hit in the face with a fire-bolt
-
It's actually very tricky to get it done properly, I know I can't....
-
My problem with the wombo combo is the name. It has nothing to do with the actual Wombo Combo.
-
Last time i checked, a grenade and a melee killed most guardians, so i dont see the reasons for all the salt.
-
They must hate me extra then... Sealed Ahamkara and smoke/vortex. Smoke-vortex- and....another smoke!!! Muuhhaaahaaaa
-
Whenever i hear the word "Wombo Combo", I just wanna kill myself tbh
-
Actually if ur good u use the spike grenades with lockdown take out entire teams in trials with snare and spikes
-
I hate smoke, but it's not OP... I just hate dying in it.
-
I'm perfectly fine with wombos, I just wish the size of the smoke was consistent to the animation.

Agility isn't shit in PVP

The only people who complain about Wombo-Combo are sunsingers who don't like the boot on the other foot.
-
It was the first thing some kid was killed by after the update.
-
Wombo combo isn't near as bad as the entire sunsinger class. Sunsingers are broken.
-
Make the cooldown of envonemed smoke grenades = cooldown of Flame Shield, problem solved.

Edited by Acaru136: 4/29/2016 6:06:56 AMVoidwall grenades are great for finishing someone who hid behind cover, and spike grenades can be used pretty effectively for basically everything if you practice their placement. Vortex grenades are rather lack luster... but can help prime a freshly revived enemy if you happen to run out of special. They're only bad when you compare them to other grenades such as fusion or firebolts. Except for vortex. I hate vortex.
-
Basically same for firebolts. 2 perks (only two other viable ones imo) and a grenade charge BUT it cant kill
-
Wombo combo 2 OP
Nerf SS/Tang
-
So I guess we're borrowing lingo from the Smash Bros. community now?
-
Are you actually serious here? Smoke grenades are the op part of it. And don't even complain about warlocks until you actually play as one. All hunters swear that they aren't op because more than half of people are hunters. Sure, burn needs a tweak but it isn't op at all. The grenades do terrible damage.
-
Its just -blam!-ing annoying
-
I just hate when i get slowed down
-
People can't get over the fact that smoke is literally doing its job lmao. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T MOVE? WHAT KIND OF SMOKE IS THIS? NERF IT!"
-
Honestly I rarely get kills with it/get killed by it. It's fair
