For all you who dislike the so called "Wombo Combo" ask yourself this, was it really so bad? The nightstalker class was an amazing addition for the Hunter, especially since they lacked what is needed for a so called "PvE class" back in year one. All is good in this subclass but one thing, the grenades! The only somewhat effective grenade is the vortex grenade, and without lockdown it's almost completely useless. Using the smoke grenade (while sacrificing invisibility for poison) [b]with[/b] the vortex grenade made an excellent and effective grenade for a subclass without one.
But at what cost? You have to use both your grenade charge and melee charge, along with a slot that can give your allies bonus armour and recovery, or drop more orbs. To me this seemed like a balanced combo since alone these two grenades were almost completely useless. Especially in a world where both other classes have a grenade that can either one hit you, or cause some serious damage.
Edit: I have no issues with Walocks and their firebolt. For a hunter I am also pro warlock, just though I should clear that up since so many ppl assume I complain about that.

Here's the thing, a smoke grenades blinding and radar disability are two grenades in one. It blinds like a Flashbang grenade and disables abilities like a Suppressor grenade. When a small "melee" grenade can slow, disable radar, blind and cause DOT all simultaneously, don't you think that it is a little bit too much for a melee? My point is that it's beyond a standard grenade. It's only balance if other grenades are buffed. Nerfing is not the right answer.

I would rather deal with firebolts burning me than a thrown melee that blinds, stuns, takes away radar, and damages.

I've seen it in iron banner a few times. I never really used it since I'm rolling with golden gun now, but it gives me a challenge to come across. They'll do what they will if they want to win. And I will too.

Only problem with them is when I'm destroying it and if almost dead so the little puss shade steps away. Also attaching a fusion grenade to it and shade stepping some how saves it's life. Shade step needs to go. Most of you will whine but it needs to go

Honestly its not bad. I play a Titan mostly and if I get hit with the wombo once in a match I never allow it to happen again. Honestly it's pretty easy to get away from too. And even if you are hit, you have a chance of getting away if you stay calm and keep gunning. The only problem I see with nightstalkers is how there is such a short cool down on shadestep. I played my hunter for the first time in a while for iron banner and it was almost too easy to get away from people, that being said, maybe people juat need to learn how to use what is in their arsenal to shut down a shadestepper. I personally think after this latest update the game is the most even I've seen it since beta testing.

Because it doesn't deserve the name "Wombo Combo." Wombo Combo was a term for a Smash Bros Melee combo constructed by players SS and Tang against Zhu during a tag battle. It was an elaborate and amazing 0-death combo between the two. Calling the Night stalker thing a "Wombo Combo" makes it seem like A: Two people are involved, and B: It requires an iota of skill.

Not so much the combo for me, it's the smoke. It does [b]far too many things at once[/b]. Can't run Blinds you Damages you Can jump No radar No super No grenade I mean. That's op. No other melee does all that. And you get to throw it.

Personally, I think the smoke grenade is fine. I started to see the odd logic behind the blindness and slowness. Maybe it gets into the victim's helmet therefore making them slow and we'll logic. Aside from that I accept each grenade and melee with DOT as my inevitable death if I can't react to it. Firebolt grenades are fine to me, I just stand there by the burn and die and just accept it.
