The sad thing is...the "casual" players likely will not be on the forums reading this... I know of the etiquette for picking up heavy, heck I try to do the same with special, even more so now. Other times though, if I can deny the heavy from the enemy team, I'll take it if I know they're closing in to try and nab it for themselves.

  • I am a "casual" player and I am here on the forums and I have known of the Heavy Ammo Etiquette since Y1. Most of the dumba$$es that jump the gun with heavy ammo I have encounters are PvP tryhards that are trying to inflate their KD's and just don't care about the win.

  • not all. some can be horrible at the game who just want to watch the world burn I love to piss off other players (usually enemies, not teammates.). I've done some dick things before that i dont do very much. But i dont care about K/D, i just enjoy the chaos of war.

  • Well if you look at my Crucible KD it is hovering between .6 and .7 so I don't care about it eather. (I have had some awesome matches but mostly I just fall on the low end of my team in KD's) I am the guy that plays the Objective of the match type for the win, so while my KD is low i can usually get a decent or even the top score in a match (not so much in Clash or Rumble but in Control or Rift I do well) the point of the OP is that if possible wait for as many teammate to get to you before popping the Heavy Ammo Crate. I have seen those so called "elite" PvP tryhards slide in pop the Heavy and run up a 4 or 5 KD but we as a team lose the match, by a lot (50% or lower then the winning team).

  • I can see that point. I been waiting at a Heavy Crate for what seems like forever and had no one from eather team show up so I pop it after 10-12 seconds then.

Why does it have to be casuals? No, it's not juts casuals that lack common sense. Everybody does it. They see a little red on the radar and panic. Or they just don't care.

  • I'm not hardcore by any means, but usually posts like this are targeted at the "casual" crowd, at least that's how I've seen it in past posts, but yes, more people need to think of the team rather than just themselves.

  • Which is exactly the proper thing to do. Kudos.
