Couple of things
1- invis is a pretty nooby thing to do in the crucible (it can be fun, but the point still remains)
2- hiding is essentially camping, camping is pretty nooby as well
3- if you know he is going to come after you, why the -blam!- would you hide in the same damn room you killed him in? You know that's where he's going to start. You could have went to the next room and killed him again when he entered the previous one. Pretty nooby mistake.
So the way I see it, he gets one noob point for the blind smash, but gets negative .25 points for getting the kill. You get 2 noob points, .5 for the invis (cause it is fun after all), .5 for hiding, and a full point for staying in the same location knowing he would be back. Congrats, you out noobed the nooby thing you chose to complain about on the forum!

a) Okay, we get it. You don't like invisibility, so you label it nooby. Only 2/9 of the subclasses have the ability, plus it's not a starting perk by any means, so most noobs can't even use it. Just the facts, thanks. b) You already said invisibility is nooby, so why then say that hiding is nooby? If camping is nooby, then why do so many people camp successfully with snipers? How are you even defining "nooby"? My guess is that you aren't. c) If I know he's coming back to the same room, why would I wait to kill him in the same room? Um, because that's where he would be? Obviously I hid in a different spot to confuse him. He definitely never found me again, so my idea made sense. Unfortunately, he brought a nuke. Anyway, you don't define your terms, and you spout subjective nonsense. Forums hero, I salute you!

Sniping actually takes some skill, unlike what you did which was crouching in the corner of a room probably with a 335 party crasher God some people (hunters)
-
My point was that snipers are available to more people than invisibility. Also, many snipers camp. This isn't debatable. I'm also not saying it's indefensible. Why say "probably with a 335 party crasher"? Just check my guy. I don't have any 335 weapon, so you're clearly wrong. You don't even try to take facts into consideration.

I really cba arguing so have a nice day

A) never said I didn't like invis, I actually said it was fun, bad try B) camping and invis are not the same thing. As it pertains to snipers, hard scoping a lane is not difficult, and any really good sniper is aggressive. C) the smart play would be to move somewhere with a good vantage point of the room you just killed him in, not to hide and wait. You want to talk about how I don't define my terms, yet you fail to provide definition of your own. But I'll give it to you I suppose. Nooby- something that allows for easy, boarding on cheap kills. An unwise tactic that leads to an extremely avoidable death. I believe that covers your, mine, and pretty much everyone else's use of the word noob and all of its many variations. Whiny forum goer, I do not salute you.

How can I melee someone from a different room? I'm not a huge fan of guns, you see, though the nerf to swords (heavy ammo drops) has made me rely a bit more on them. More than anything, it's made the game feel a tad similar to other shooters, so I'll likely play less and less until I quit. You will win, sir, even if you don't understand my heart. :'(

If your not a fan of guns, did you try dark souls 3? Haven't tried it myself but I here good things.

I played King's Field back in the day. It's a series from From Software as well, so I'm a bit biased against Dark Souls. lol It's the same universe, but they switched perspectives and a few other things. I'm definitely a From Software hipster, because I loved them before they were cool. :P Thanks for recommendation though. My previous MMO experience has been like WoW, Rift, SWTOR, etc. That's why I'm very comfortable playing a rogue type character. I've noticed that's potentially frowned upon in the FPS community, but me likes it anyway.

I was never really a fan of fps, mostly RPGs. I picked destiny up because it was kind of a hybrid and ended up really liking the gun play, then small team pvp and rumble kinda consumed me. I play mostly rumble at this point because I can do my own thing and there's is no one to complain about it, so I know the rogue feeling.

Edited by Bowmans60: 4/27/2016 8:50:43 PMI think a lot of Destiny players are like us: they're people who are giving an FPS a chance, even though they typically aren't found in this genre. Sure, I played Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and others; but like you, I've historically been more an RPG fan. That's one of the reasons I've tried to play my own way in Destiny, but it can be tough. I'm glad you enjoy Rumble. Sometimes I wonder if I should really push myself to do well in that mode, but I think the bigger battles work better for me. Frankly, I could do with some 10v10, though I suppose that could end up requiring some major changes to the game. I've been a bit disappointed with Destiny since the heavy/special nerfs, especially with there being no permanent Mayhem 6s, so thanks for the chat.

Yeah destiny has a pretty diverse player base. They have a couple real big maps, if they added a few more 10v10 wouldn't be that hard to pull off. A while back someone posted an idea for faction wars, a 6v6v6, that could end up being a ton of fun. Good talk, be easy.
