Who made the best Halo games?
-
I will choose the one that felt like a science fiction (not fantasy), suck to the roots as much as possible, felt complete at launch, added more upon the previous games, and was fun to play (competitive and recreationally).
Bungie's Halo, give or take Reach's matchmaking and minor canon inconsistencies.
I give the runner up to Ensemble for being fun to play, but I have a tough time accepting the story as cannon.
Elites were not ground forces until 2552, brutes should be attacking civilians, and Spartans shouldn't have shields for a decades.
All three made/make great Halos so I couldn't vote.
-
H2>H3>CE>Reach>H4 and H5.
halo 4 and 5 are pretty much equally garbage
-
Campaign; 1. Halo 2 2. Halo CE 3. Halo Reach 4. Halo 3 5. Halo 3 : ODST 6. Halo 4 7. Halo 5 Multiplayer; 1. Halo 2 2. Halo Reach 3. Halo 3 754477. Halo 4 9999999. Halo 5

Halo 2 and 3 ONLY because of the community during that time. I enjoyed 4 and love 5 but, the toxic community makes enjoying the game hard. Hardly anyone communicates and the ones that do are arrogant pricks or 10 yr olds who don't know wtf they're doing. The games have evolved and gotten better IMO but, Halo 2 on Xbox Connect (look it up) and Halo 3 were more enjoyable to play because most of the player base used a MIC and communicated or at least paid attention during a game and knew callouts.

Better halos, better elites. Papa Chiefs

Edited by Regret: 4/26/2016 1:18:42 PMHalo 2. Metropolis was an amazing map. so much to explore.
-
Campaign: Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo 4 Mulyiplayer: Halo 3 Halo 5 Halo 2

How about 'All Halo's' TBH I don't care wether the case says Bungie,343 or Ensemble I've played countless hrs of every Halo Game and I love them all for the differences they bring to the table. The additions to the Lore, characters and universe Via the campaigns and how each MP is a new iteration of the last with enough the same to 'Be Halo' but different enough that I don't feel like playing one is the same as playing the others.
-
Reach and 4 are a tie for me! Leaning towards 4 though.
-
Halo 3 and reach for life
-
1. Halo 2 2. Halo CE 3. Halo Reach 4. Halo 3 5. Halo 3 : ODST 6. Halo 4 7. Halo 5 (CAMPAIGN-WISE)
-
343 has two Halo games... I'm gonna reflect upon this after they actually finish a trilogy, okay?
-
Halo CE and odst are the only 2 halos from bungie I like overall. With 343 they mainly have done remasters. 4 and 5 are their only true ones. 4 has the best story of any halo game to date. And halo 5 is my all time favorite halo to play right next to CE. So I vote for 343
-
That depends on what you're talking about. For the campaign, it depends but I'll rank them for you: 2>4>ODST>3>CE>5>Reach Multiplayer wise is completely different, however. 2>5>3>4>Reach>CE>ODST

I like them all. The people that gripe and whine just need to get over themselves. Adapt and play or don't play at all.

They all suck, and so does Destiny.

Edited by oni: 4/25/2016 4:08:51 PMBungies Halo's were better due the the fact of how simplistic the PvP was and just how solid it felt. The community was at its strongest back then, and the story was basic enough that the average gamer could understand. The community is mainly what made Halo thrive, and the fact you could easily make new friends just by playing a MP match for one game. Also, custom games of Bungie's Halo's were as fun as ever. 343i was and is slowly losing the community. But the new community within the Halo series now hardly interacts with each other, at least in a positive way. Also, they complain quite a bit rather than give constructive criticism that the game desperately needs. Multiplayer for Halo 5 is solid, aside from how fast paced it became in comparison to its predecessors (Halo 2 & Halo 3). The new story is a bit differently done from past Halo's, and some will argue that they falsely advertised the story. Most people don't like micro transactions, but Halo followed most games by including them... Let's face it, most games now will have them. Custom games lacked infection at launch as well as forge. Luckily forge is as great as it's ever been, so when infection does drop... It should be interesting. Halo 3 had things such as Bungie vs World and 7 on the 7th, as well as things such as "Bungie favorites" which featured community screenshots, clips, maps, and game modes. The process of finding custom made maps in Halo 5 is tedious and annoying. Overall, it will be hard to compete with the older Halos due the the fact that if they were to bring it back to classic Halo, people would still complain because: 1.) it's 343i, not Bungie 2.) people will complain that Halo needs change even though change is what is killing the game.

People liked 343's halo better?!
-
Ensemble didn't made Halos, it made one. Anyway, obvious answer is obvious. However stellar H4 was, it wasn't as good as the first trilogy, and H5 certainly wasn't up to par.
-
Ensemble has made one Halo and they didn't -blam!- it up the first time.
-
Obviously Destiny is the best Halo
-
They are different. You can't make Halo 2 or 3 over and over again. 343 saw that the series needed to evolve to survive and they took the course of action they saw fit.

u see my thread, you die
-
I'm neutral. All for all sides.

Anyone who voted or is voting for 343i needs to get lined up and shot.
