Favourite raid and favourite weapon

VoG, and Hunger of Crota. I used Hunger so that I could use Icebreaker.

Weapon is Gally. I thought Icebreaker was my first exotic but it was gally. I got it from a nightfall if I remember right. I also loved patience and time for crucible. Was such a wonderful weapon. Best memory was the loot cave, and loot caves 2.0 and 3.0 because my screen was so bright the traveler was jealous. Edit: I also loved thorn before everyone decided to abuse it. I did that quest on a hunter, and a void fusion rifle.

VoG. The mystery and the depth of it. I think KF would have been better if we didn't have it follow CE and have similar enemies and architecture. This diluted the impact because it was Hive raid part 2. I don't think anyone who has played all three would deny the best weapons came from VoG. Vex. Fatebringer. VoC. Final Verdict. Pradetyhs Revenge. Corrective Measure. Timepiece. All solid to "God like." CE was second but other than black hammer nothing was a "must have" for me compared to VoG weapons. KF weapons are really lackluster with cocoon being the best thing for almost all the weapons.

VoG was a blast. Favorite weapons were VoC or fatebringer depending on the situation, and black hammer before it was nerfed to death.

Oversouls edict. I've always been a fan of pulse rifles, but having a gun that could also shoot through Knight walls was dope.

7 RepliesLet me start off by saying I have nothing against Y2 players. I respect you and we are all guardians, tasked to fight the Darkness together. We stand side by side against the ongoing tide and only in unity can we succeed. That being said I am actually sad that you will never experiance the power that these weapons I have mentioned below had in their prime. You have been robbed of that experiance and I find it unfair that it is so. Only one of them is with us again, but the rest are lost to time, most likely, forever. If you think melting the Warpriest with a bunch of Spindles and Simulants is destruction, you are close but still unaware what a combination of those noble few Y1 guns had to offer. All of them laughed in the face of Nightfalls, burn modifiers and raid bosses. They did not care and they slew with unstoppable might. Their very name made Atheon, Crota, Skolas and all their minions shit their pants every week praying for a day that their collective torture might end. And sadly it did end... Dear Y1 veterans, what follows is a tribute to our dearest and greatest tools for war and destruction. Our greatest allies and our beloved fiends. Do not feel shame for shedding a tear in memory of them. In tribute to these weapons in their purest forms I ask for a moment of silence. I had to learn how to solo that part so many times, it became so easy in the end. Weapon? My current favourites are Finnalas Peril and Eyasluna. I have them equipped on my Warlock and Titan. =)

Obviously the vog weapons and black hammer were the shit... We all know that but.. They're gone. I finally rolled a smite of merain with firefly.. Damn I forgot how much fun firefly is in pve. Been so long since I had a decent primary with firefly. So fun. For favorite raid, I'm stuck between vog and kings fall. Probably have to go with vault of glass just due to nostalgia and the killer weapons but I do really enjoy kings fall and the strategy it takes from all 6 people.
