“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57,” [his publicist] said in a statement. “There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.”
I did not want to believe this, but multiple sources are reporting. RIP Prince.

I try not to be one of those people who freaks out when famous people die, but as a musician Prince was one of my idols. He was by far one of the most talented and inspiring individuals of the past century. I started listening to his music when I was very young and he was one of the people who first made me want to pick up a guitar. I'm so incredibly heartbroken and distraught. Today is a sad day And like honestly Prince was the definition of sexy. I always joked that he’s the only man I’d ever bang and I stand by that. He made androgyny and even femininity in men cool, and I think the men of the world should take a note from his playbook. Prince wore heels and makeup and was overall pretty as hell and he gave zero shits about any criticism that came his way because of it. He singlehandedly redefined masculinity and we should be celebrating him as a fashion icon as well as a music icon.
