Unreal Tournament 4
So there has been lots of talks here about the latest DOOM MP beta. Some good, and some not so much.
But if you played it and thought that it was just missing that old school arena fps vibe, then I suggest you check out the new UT. The game is completely free, with only cosmetic items that will cost money.
The game is currently in pre-alpha, but the gameplay is all there.

I miss unreal tournament =((( Shock combos all day, combo whore. Let me shaft you with my link gun or bust a fat load of glob right on your face. I love it when you explode. I'll even show you the happy face on my flack ball before it blows your body up.

Engineering class got to play this to get a feel for it,and now to practice with unreal engine we'll be making mods

Unreal Tournament's gameplay is so crisp. Even 1999's competitive metagame is as polished as SSBM.

Now THAT is how you do a multiplayer shooter. Fast, tense, shooty mayhem. UT99 was one of my favourites.

I love UT. Used to play a lot of Unreal Tournament 2014 until my computer turned into an oversized iPod and I had to uninstall it. Once I get a new PC, I'm definitely going to check it out.

I heard about this from somewhere else, can't remember where it was. I'll need to upgrade my laptop before I can hop back into Arena shooters though, lol. I'll be stuck on console for a little while longer.
