I was On Demand and saw featured headlining movies; Lucy, that starred Morgan Freeman, was one of them. What do you think of the presumption?
Edit: Original title had the word "out" instead of "our"; guess the percentage isn't as high for some people (LOL). #oprekt
Edit: Daaaaaamn, Daniel! We almost have a penis poll; a long one too. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
how is our brain real if our eyes aren't
-
If that's the case I can believe that an average human only uses 10% of his brain‚ because the rest of the 90% are used to control the other organs of our body
-
I believe I use all 2% of mine.
-
This has been long since debunked
-
I had to keep the poll going. Sorry
-
Yes, I see plenty of idiots everyday.
-
I use 69% of my brain ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Ghost*set of numbers* uses less than that
-
If you seriously believe you only use ten percent of your brain, you probably do.
-
No. Everything you do and everything on your body is in one way or another told what to do by your brain. Morgan Freeman is not a real doctor.
-
Yay pseudoscientific bullshit!
-
Only people who voted "yes" do

Edited by phoenix55x: 4/18/2016 5:59:23 PMLet me all clarify for you all, as what is actually meant here is unspecific 1 if it means potential for overall uses Then yes we do use less than our brains full potential. see my other post for details 2 if it means utilizing every part at once Yes and no. We can only process so much info at once and thus can not use each part of the brain all at once to the maximum we could use each separately. However there are parts of ur brain that work around the clock that u do not control or think about these parts make up more than 10% of brain 3 if it means we only control 10% of our brain the rest is autopilot Then no. while it is true much of our brain is auto pilot the biggest part of our brain which the frontal lobe is our center of voluntary movements and higher thinking and decision making which we use all the time. However there is still a lot that are brain does under are perception Hope this clarifies comments if u have any further questions
by the way if u comment tl;dr my response is your dick is to short didnt see
We can only use 10% of our brain at one time. We use all 100% of it though :)
-
No. Only ten per cent to are neurons are usually firing at a time, but we use all of our brains.
-
Anyone who believes that is retarded
-
Heh penis

Edited by Kirby235711: 4/20/2016 11:54:23 PMSecond edit confirms OP uses <10% of his Brian.
-
I couldn't even watch Lucy because the concept of "we only use 10% of our brain" was so retarded I couldn't even suspend my disbelief enough to start it. This is an extremely old myth
-
No, I'm pretty sure most people I encounter aren't even able to use that much. 1% is pushing it.
-
I use 5% of my joey
-
I believe we use the whole thing, however I believe we only take advantage of 5 to 10 percent of it
-
We use all of it, however, only 5% of it is white matter. The rest is gray matter
-
You do. Out of anything I have Telekinesis

Edited by Spirit Wolf: 4/19/2016 3:34:26 PMIn an episode of Mythbusters they show that even not doing/thinking of anything the brain is active by an average of 80%.
-
I believe that the 10% myth came from a politician, who said that it seems like people only use 10% of their brains. It was originally supposed to be metaphorical.
I can't be bothered to find the source right now
