Must be female but include lgbt tags? Isn't that contradictory? Someone could find this clan looking for a safe place to play games and not be discriminated against (which is a great thing tbh) only to find that because they don't identify as female they aren't allowed in? That's kinda fucked up
I could see a safe haven for women in gaming being good as well but just say it as it is, ok? And eh good luck i guess?

Edited by lVlaleficent: 4/18/2016 5:54:29 AMIt isn't contradictory because we don't care about sexual orientation. We care about gender identity. As for LGBT labels, some ladies prefer the term Gay or Genderqueer. Edited for grammar fail.
-
T is for transgender, someone could go from female by nature to male and no longer see themselves as female, then look up a clan like this only to be let down. Other than that great idea, I just feel like you gals could really be hurting someone out there who potentially makes that mistake, better not to ya know?

Edited by lVlaleficent: 4/18/2016 4:51:09 AMIf they are transitioned male to female then they would most likely not be in the market for a ladies-only clan. Edited to add: there are other clans specifically for males, trans persons, and non binaries
-
That's my point, you have a tag that includes those people that would be let down here, just clarify it
-
We could say trans females. But we say LBGT and identifying as female. Which is the same thing.
-
Yes i can read that but by simply having the lgbt tag on this post and your clan you are leaving some people out that could search for that tag and get hopes for this clan
-
They will be just as disappointed as the other people who find us using the tag "friends" and do not meet our membership requirements.
-
I don't think anyone would search the word friends expecting every clan to cater to their needs, it's not specific in the slightest
-
LGBT isn't a very specific term either to be honest. It covers a broad spectrum of gender identities and sexual orientations. The tag is mainly there so anyone who is already a fit for this clan knows they won't be excluded for being LGBT.You'd think we wouldn't have to specify that we're fine with it but unfortunately the world still has a way to go with LGBT acceptance.
-
See this is a justification worth listening too

I don't follow the logic of an all-female group being unable to be safe for lgbt gamers or somehow contradictory with the tag. We can't support and welcome our lesbian, gay (not everyone who identifies as gay identifies as male...), bisexual and trans sisters?
-
Edited by Selenophobia: 4/18/2016 4:44:10 AMTrans sisters is the hard part to get here, I'm cool with an all girl clan, I'm cool with an inclusive clan, but right now this one which is trying to be both is leaving a group out based on gender identity
-
We're not trying to be an all-inclusive clan. That's simply not our mission, and no where in our posts does it say we are. Our mission is to provide a space for female-identifying players, which includes transwomen, making the T relevant. Leaving out an entire gender identity (male-identifying players) is the crux of our mission. I half-suspect that's the part you really don't like, and you're trying to use the lgbt tag and community as cover. To your stated point, we're talking tags that make it easier for people to search, and I don't think people are going to search just lgb or just transwoman/transwoman. Lgbt is the standard and most effective tag for this purpose, and again, it is relevant to our mission. You also keep bringing up that people could be disappointed by getting their hopes up for our clan. We are far from the only clan that includes lgbt in our tag list, again it is a standard, well-understood tag. Some of the groups that use it have age restrictions; some are only for particular consoles; some are geographically based. All of this is fine - each group's mission is different, making their admission criteria differ accordingly. If you want to keep arguing for the sake of arguing, feel free. This is the last I have to say on this. Good luck in the world, guardian.

Relevant not exact, my point still stands if you're going to ignore what I'm saying I guess you've made that clear and I must thank you for trying to say that I don't approve of an all female clan when I've even stated in an above comment that it's a wonderful thing...
