Destiny, you need a white whale..
A unicorn, a mermaid(merman), however you want to phrase it. I KNOW...the community has a ton of cry baby types (omg they wont let me in their group nevermind the fact i can make my own) and on the other side of that coin goofy elitist types (must be 330+ for hardmode vault,crota,ttk schmucks) but in the middle....you have us even keel folks....do it for us bungie. Make another so rare its silly weapon and toss it in the mix....OR....to appease both the cry baby folk and elitist.. lock it behind super hard quest AND for those who cant beat it...time gate it for easy access to all like you did the sleeper a month after releasing the quest with a watered down version. Point is....give us something to chase thats worth the time sink instead of gift wrapping every little thing.
Tldr;
The game needs a ghorn type weapon. Less about the weapon itself (but it should be shiny with hella cool perks) and more about the chase.

2 RepliesHow about another quest weapon that was as mysterious as the sleeper simulant was. That was one of the most active times the game has seen in a while. People want to get involved because it's interesting and there's a reward to searching and putting together all the clues. It's more satisfying than grinding 3oC until you get what you want in my opinion.

This would be wonderful but for the existence of Three of Coins. Remove whatever weapon you're thinking of from possible decryptions, make only one way to get it. Granted, I may be a bit bias; I had three Gjallarhorns back in the day and Rahool even decrypted my first or second legendary into an Exotic, Last Word no less.

And during the month I had it, wow, I never knew how OP it was. So no white whales. No unicorn. No god weapons. Exotics should be obtainable and the hunt for exotics should be enjoyable.

Someone tell coz to pass word to whoever needs to be told. The people are ready. The time of an ultra rare/stupid hard to come by silly strong weapon is now aka winter update or even better sneak it in spindle style. Or be lazy and update Ghorn back to its OG status with grander explosions and hide it some place in the raid or vault. Or, for comic relief and sheer irony stash it in crota land and make us fight wizards and munchkins and all sorts of ish to win it

I was just morr thinking "big near-impossible-to-kill monster that randomly flies through patrol spaces." Yes, as in literal giant white space whales. Destiny needs these. Preferably on a scale of being able to have a ketch ram them and not even notice it.

I agree with this. There needs to be able amazing weapon that's worth grinding for. Most of the year 2 exotics are lame. Gally made so made people play the game for hours on end last year, because it was a god weapon and we all wanted it. I know bungie wants variety, but it's stupid if them to not have some awesome exotics that we sll want but are hard to get
